Even though Emil gets to ride through the backdoor on a Polish licence, personally every Russian sportsman should condemn what's going on in Ukraine to compete anywhere. He may have done this already, be so pleased if he has and welcome him, but if not I'd be looking elsewhere. All very laudable but such a public denouncment would no doubt put the lives of family still in Russia at risk

Would anyone take Heeps back on 4.18? Unless we could find another 4 pointer from abroad with good potential, I think I’d gamble on Heeps rather than Mountain or Hume personally. He would also keep Rew at reserve whilst the other two would push Rew in to the 1-5.. Just get Emil and Artem assessed at 6 and have them both instead

I’m with Baldyman I’d prefer we sought out another Rew and took a chance on another new 4 pointer, but if the choice is Mountain Hume or Heeps I’d reluctantly go for Heeps. Should be a no brainer to sign Starke, I didn't realise his average was so low until I was made aware of it on this thread. Even though he's declining, Starke offers the most stability imo. Arch Stanton
What on earth has happened to this lad? Was a 6 and a half pointer in a pretty strong league as recent as 2019! Shocking to see him fall away as much as he has. No idea what happened during that Covid break but he came back a totally different rider. I appreciate having him back is a big gamble, but he potentially offers far more than Hume, Starke or Mountain IF someone can get hold of him and shake him out of his slumber. He had a highlight reel all of his own a few seasons ago and was box office entertainment around Foxhall. Sad to see. Arch Stanton
And more examples. These aren’t mugs he’s passing either they’re top heatleaders. He may never get back to that and could be on a permanent decline who knows, it would be a gamble for sure.
kevin bass
There's 2 versions of Heeps im afraid, one who takes it seriously and keeps fit close season and the other who comes into the season a couple of stone over weight.

Took on responsibilities, got married and priority changes. I believe he only wanted to ride in the Championship last year and reluctantly agreed to take the Premier place. Wouldn't surprise me if it was only ever meant to be short term in the eyes of both parties......

Mountain better than Hume on big tracks, Hume a lot better rider around Foxhall so in terms of ippo the better option imo. interestingly Hume averaged a point more than mountain in championship last season but mountain half a point more in prem…inflated by the home scoring at Sheffield I’d imagine

Baldyman
Omg can't believe the things I've been saying recently,,, liking Doyle,, having Batch back,,, now I'm even gonna say,,, out of the 4 pointer ish riders mentioned,,, I would have a new euro rider like Salonen,,,, but if not,,, it would be Heeps,,, as home wins are crucial next year,, the bigger the better,,, but I would only take him if he spent a few hours with Donk,,, and improved his gating,,, as that's his biggest problem.
