They'd go bust mate.

British Speedway doesn't get the attendances to have an Elite 1 & 5 pairing.

Paying customers on the night don't turn up for regular league meetings if the weather forecast is dodgy and they don't turn up for meetings that are televised either.

Spot on, if the posting on the Kings Lynn thread is true about a 5 figure sum starting with a 2 to get KK then imagine what it would be for Emil!

Apparently it was mentioned by Lynn promotion yesterday at their Q&A, so not forum guff this time.... Emil would be 6 figured and that's probably up front and no guarantees would last the season!

I can’t for the life of me understand why Ipswich and wolves are  going exactly the same way they did last year. Surely the idea after failure is to improve????

Was 2022 really a Failure for Ipswich? They finished 2nd in the league, won the pairs. Their first trophy for years. Yet it would seem because they missed out in the play off semi final to the eventual winners, they failed?  I guess to some they did, but those people would very hard to please ever.

The Wolves thing, I agree, They were weak at reserve, and have done exactly the same this year compared to other teams. They said that was their achilles heal, and yet could have employed the likes of Hans Andersen at reserve had they set up slightly differently.

Fair point, but any team that has Doyle in the pairs will be favourites to win it.

Regarding the league. They won a few points from superheats by having Doyle. Saying that I suppose they have Doyle again so could be successful

compared to the previous year last season was competitive at least so was a big improvement

the issue is when you show signs of being competitive and then falling short, you would hope that the powers that be identify this (as they have allegedly said publicly) and put things right for 2023

If they signed Barker & Holder for example I would think ok they are learning from failings last season, if the riders then go out and underperform thats not on the management as such

But sticking with the same old even if Richie is announced next thats still what I call same old, there is nothing inventive there - perhaps because not many want to come to the UK anymore

I think Wolves will be better this season with the addition of Zach Cook, Rory coming back and maybe Becker will  have a better start to the season , Douglas should improve too, he was quite poor on occasions last season.

And Flint was finally getting to grips with the Monmore track at the end of the season. The reserve pairing will unquestionably be stronger in 2023.

Everyone knows the tune.....

It's beginning to look a lot like Ipswich do do do do do

At least the tech guys havn't got to sift though loads of Chris Holder and Emil Sayfutinov pictures now to find one that there heads can be super imposed on to the Ipswich kevlars picture ,  they have plenty of Troy Batchelor pictures to hand as well.

It's like the good old days, when Pavitt was about promised a title winning side, rumours of Joe Screen signing only to find we had Franz Leitner.

Although to be fair still time for Louis to pull the rabbit out of the hat......or Richie to pull of a blinder while sat in the 19th hole.

If we’re relying on Hawkins to pull a Rabbit out of the hat then we really are in the brown stuff.
