I'm not getting the fascination with Holder tbh, was great a decade ago but with so much talent in the Polish leagues now maybe he fancies coming back for an easy payday like Crump and Schlein

Had a great season last year, wouldn't surprise me if he qualified for the GPs again via the Challenge

By the process of elimination Ritchie Worrall has to be a strong candidate. He’s not at Lynn by all accounts, Leicester/Wolves can’t fit him in, Sheffield can but Ellis has to be nailed on for their last spot, and he’s very unlikely to be at Belle Vue who are releasing their team this week.

I can’t see him not having a Premiership ride so it’s either us or Peterborough.

Doyle, Batch, Ritchie, Riss, King, Rew

Think that'll be under by at least half a point

It is indeed just over half a point under. Take out Batch and that leaves 6.12.

Brother Steve hasn’t been announced yet at Wolves, but after British reduction he’s 6.13 so doesn’t fit. Other than Batch on 5 and a half, there’s nobody else out there to fit that 6.12 unless you go for an Andersen or Cook and be even further under..

Well if that's the team,,, lessons clearly haven't been learnt. Then again,, having a team to follow if you wish,, is better than not having a team to follow

If that does end up being the team then a lot will depend on Rew. If he struggles then so will we. Batch/Riss/Worrall/King are all solid middle order riders, but none of them are a second heat leader at 5.

Still,,, we don't know if that is the team yet,, but if it is,, I do have to wonder where they get their ideas from,,,, with all the riders available,, someone said put a league winning team together,,, no one would come up with that one.   Maybe Rew is that good he will stick 2 points or more on his average,, I don't know as never seen him, will always have a decent pairing at 1 and 2,,but 3 and 4 pairing will be weaker than most I think,, and weaker at 5 as well

Last years team started terribly - who could have predicted a playoff spot after the opening 40-50 home defeat to Peterborough!

Well speaking as someone who now follows the Witches/ Tigers as my team are gone (probably forever) be careful what you wish for! two playoff appearances since 2018 isnt a bad return - and they did win a trophy lasty year.

I'm not wishing for anything,,, like I said,, having a team to follow is better than not having one

It was a general comment, personally I want the team I follow to win - but its all so much more complicated than simply wishing! and I know you know that! I actually enjoyed 2022 - i saw more meetings last season that I have done since probably the late 90s or early 2000's

dont get me wrong I had my fill of speedway and drifted right away from it - coming back ignoring all the playing about rules manipulations etc - and just simply enjoy the meetings worked for me last year

The way the majority of fans now watch it I would say...

A great spectacle and can still be a great evening out, but best not to take the outcome too seriously given the often contrived nature of its operating model..

I attended five meetings last year in the UK domestic leagues, including both play offs, and they were great entertainment, with some good "old school" hard riding and plenty of controversy..

The fact the Aces won was "a bonus", but if the Tigers had won I would still have felt that I had watched two excellent sporting contests to rival anything else, entertainment wise, that I had paid to see in 2022...

No point putting a club under financial pressure simply to try to win any Speedway league given the lack of financial reward and publicity generated by "success"...

Only one team can be Champions at the end of each season, but all need to be in existence at the end of each season...

Wow....What a week, started with so much promise, thinking Louis will give us a strong Number 5, in his words....Assemble a Title winning team......

And today I read we could have 2-5 Batch,King Riss and Now Worrell.

Dear oh Dear, let's just for once hope these predictions are wrong, as I don't think I have felt this deflated since......Last Season when good old Heeps was named in our 1st 7.

Don't understand the averages, so I apologise, but can we still fit Adam Ellis in. Before you all.laugh at me, I'm just trying to kid myself I know.

Sorry for negative post.

Think you can fit in Riss, Ellis and someone like Barker but Ellis will be at Sheffield

Surely those predictions will be wrong as we won’t win without a decent number 5 in my opinion .

Where are you reading that?
