Falcon1983
Chris louis has always ran to a budget crumpy was on stupid money, doyle will be taking a large chunk of the budget So i honestly doubt there will be any big hitters, likely Batch at no.2, Riss then another not sure whats left after that

I agree...give him a chance to dial in at Foxhall wouldn't be against Barker at 2 and they would swap throughout the season Doyle 10.32 Barker 4.31 King 6.41 Riss 6.00 7.96 for a number 5 Rew 4.00 RS

He does but you would also think a team would be built to the points available, not 2 points under like this year.... So anything is possible
Baldyman
Might as well go for good home wins and have Hans at number 2 on a sub

Unless Guy Nicholls is digging deep that would surely be the same issue? Doyle surely uses most of the budget. Not sure where we go from here to be honest, let’s hope Louis has a plan! Arguably more likely to happen if they’re getting a full season tho, the set up costs with mechanics and bikes is the same for half a season or full season, so prob would be cheaper from the start of the year
blue witch
Also think how much are willing to pay to win something! I bet Lambert wasn't cheap for his 4/5 meetings and getting a lawyer and what not. Also got to be more ruthless we give our riders ample opportunities

No sports team that I am aware of are on a sound financial footing - particuarly speedway ones - the star last week covers the ruination of the old Belle Vue promotion. I reckon Lambert will have set them back a fair bit - fair play if you can afford it but I'd rather be watching speedway each year and have it all gambled in some S*8t or bust move! Also 2022 was the best Witches season I can remember since 2005 at the top level - worth remembering!

Flappy
Andersen would be a good home rider on a 4.93 average

I still think it was a better option for the sport overall, no matter how poorly the Regulations are written.

Erik Riss 6.00 5. Przemyslaw Pawlicki 6.75 (Was going to join last year) 6. Keynan Rew 4.00 7. Jack Thomas (RS)
Arch Stanton
I’d rather gamble on Cook than Andersen for the same average.

89buttons
Can’t see Craig cook being back at Ipswich tbh, finished 2021 with us, was on what looked like a decent average headed into 2022 and his stock has only fallen… having just looked at starting averages given we were 2.1 points under the building limit we could’ve fit cook in last years team in place of any of batch riss or even heeps, so if Louis had seen enough to want him back at the end of 2021 he would’ve done, be amazed after his 2022 season he now wants him, stranger things have happened but would be a shock to me Edited December 6, 2022 by 89buttons
Baldyman
Pretty sure Cook himself said,, he didn't like all the travelling, it was getting him down,,, still,,, I guess a 12 hour round trip will do that to you.

Both Cook and Anderson dont really fit that for me!
