We tried for one of the Pawlicki’s last year but apparently the cost involved was way above what we could pay so we went with Barker instead. Unless Guy Nicholls is digging deep that would surely be the same issue? Doyle surely uses most of the budget.

Not sure where we go from here to be honest, let’s hope Louis has a plan!

Arguably more likely to happen if they’re getting a full season tho, the set up costs with mechanics and bikes is the same for half a season or full season, so prob would be cheaper from the start of the year

Also think how much are willing to pay to win something! I bet Lambert wasn't cheap for his 4/5 meetings and getting a lawyer and what not. Also got to be more ruthless we give our riders ample opportunities

Both Dolye and Rew have suggested Ipswich is a well run club - you can read into that what you will but the Ipswich promotion have been around via contiuation from Louis snr to Louis jnr many years - I'd have given my right arm for a secure promotion like that!

No sports team that I am aware of are on a sound financial footing - particuarly speedway ones - the star last week covers the ruination of the old Belle Vue promotion. I reckon Lambert will have set them back a fair bit - fair play if you can afford it but I'd rather be watching speedway each year and have it all gambled in some S*8t or bust move!

Also 2022 was the best Witches season I can remember since 2005 at the top level - worth remembering!

Might as well go for good home wins and have Hans at number 2 on a sub 5

It's possibly what cos them last year - narrow home wins were good in some ways as they were more tense and exciting, i was there and wont forget the cheer for the superheat win over the Panthers  - what cost the Witches was that terrible home playoff defeat!

three meetings, but basically just for the final, as the Ipswich match was just so they could say he wasn't brought in just for the final

They would have had to bring in a guest. I still think it was a better option for the sport overall, no matter how poorly the Regulations are written.

I’d rather gamble on Cook than Andersen for the same average.

A bit like the choice of sticking a pin in your left eye or your right eye......:P

Can’t see Craig cook being back at Ipswich tbh, finished 2021 with us, was on what looked like a decent average headed into 2022 and his stock has only fallen…

having just looked at starting averages given we were 2.1 points under the building limit we could’ve fit cook in last years team in place of any of batch riss or even heeps, so if Louis had seen enough to want him back at the end of 2021 he would’ve done, be amazed after his 2022 season he now wants him, stranger things have happened but would be a shock to me

yes I wuld be inclined to agree - Cook had a decent spell from what I remember in 2021 but that was an odd year and hard gauge given the disruntion of 2020 etc - I saw him ride 3 times last season twice at Sheffield at the no 2 spot - he did fine both times - but at away at Foxhall I expected him to do better given the above and he got 4 I think - if there is going to be changes i'd rather it be an up and coming rider if possible. Both Cook and Anderson dont really fit that for me!
