Built the team around him and make sure we have a team of improvers. one rider I would also have on the team sheet for next year is Danyon. also on another note what a farce that Sheffield finished top. As they were unable to for-fill the fixture against Ipswich it should have been forfeited and all 4 points gone to the away side. It could have been so different if that had happened and I’m very surprised Chris Louis did not make a big deal of this considering the position he has in speedway? Don't see what Chris's position on the BSPL has to do with the decision. There is no regulation to cover the situation so nothing to enforce Don't forget Master Bates is also at the top table so by your thinking would've being doing the exact opposite to protect his team There in lies the biggest problem - self interested gerrymandering with no consistency or transparency

Simple rule. If the home team can’t for fill all there fixtures the away team gets all points. for gods sake they only need to have 10 home fixtures over 5 months! it’s inexcusable that teams can not get all their home fixtures in especially considering the summer we have had. Maybe Ipswich would have been thrashed if the meeting had taken place and Sheffield would be top anyway but we don’t know what would have happened. those at the top need to sort this out for next year but I fear the same old same old Edited September 30, 2022 by stu219
Arch Stanton
Only three of this years team should stay, Doyle, Riss and Hume. Then freshen up with four newbies. Try and get over a couple of the talented young foreigners that haven’t got the big gigs in Poland yet. There’s a fair few out there.
Chris116
It is all very well blaming the home team for not staging a fixture but are we certain that an away team is actually responsible by not agreeing to dates offered? There needs to be a rules that all teams supply the dates they are able to hold home meetings and any dates they are not available for away meetings to a totally independent fixture body who then give teams their fixture list. Any postponed meetings are referred to the fixture planning authority and both sides have to agree to the new date which will be based on the availability dates teams supplied at the start of the season. With that system in place run a Spring Cup with the finals run by the end of May with no arguments. Then the main league would take place with all fixtures completed by the end of August. The Play offs then take place with four teams in each league involved. While the Play offs take place the first round of the KO Cup takes place between teams not in the Play offs. The Play off semi final losers are added into the KO Cup second round. Which are held around the Play offs finals. The play off finalists are added to the KO Cup third round which should see the KO Cup finished by the first week of October. Refuse to race on the allocated date means three points deducted from the teams total in the league or a walkover in the Spring or KO Cups. I wonder what reasons this system could not be used will be found other than promotions not liking no wiggle room!
Flappy
I'd take King at Peterborough tbh . Reckon you'll have Nicholls at reserve and we'll have Andersen

I thought something might have gone on years back as Scott used to be sponsored by fork rent and then it stopped. Also recall he used to in the off season have a go on the motocross with Jake Nicholls. Given Scott’s history with the club it would certainly be fitting if next season was to be his last if he did ride at his home town club. At reserve he is worth the risk and they need to get rid of this rising star debacle, more harm than good to young lads having confidence sapped out of them. Just shows though how tricky it’ll be getting a decent looking line up with Doyle in the side. Gonna need to pull a few rabbits out of the hat that’s for sure.
