From reading this looks like the Poles ain’t happy with any Russian riding on a Polish license doing any other league that Poland, the PZM stating they can block any rider on one of their licenses riding in a foreign league.  This could definitely have more legs in it before it’s 100 % that Emil is in the 1-7

How did you take this in a negative light? While it does state the PZM 'can' block any rider on one of its licences, it pretty much says they wont.

In fact it's got a quote from Piotr Szymanski, the GKSZ chairman, saying "As long as the regulations of individual countries allow these players to drive in other league competitions, we will also agree to this...I have nothing against them performing in Great Britain..."

How lovely for you, i'm glad you feel happy and safe. :)

Blu posted this  a year ago

‘Russia is about to invade Ukraine’ is the 2022 equivalent of 2003’s ‘Iraq has WMDs which can be assembled and launched within 45 minutes’. They were lying then and they’re lying again now...

You posted this a year ago

The “Russia-Ukraine crisis” is entirely a creation or figment of the US government’s imagination. The Ukrainian Security Council Head has repeated five times, that he sees no any viable threat from the Russian troops, located 200km away from the border. Please don't be fooled by this nonsense.

I could go on, as there are plenty of rubbish posts like this as evidence if you want......:D

Well ok, this one was a classic from Blu

Quote

‘Major General Igor Konashenkov has announced that all Russian troops would begin to be withdrawn from the border region.’

Distraction over... yawn yawn

And this is actually relevant to Blu's previous comment. Because he was actually asked where he got this information from, as it couldn't be found on any normal media outlet. So the assumption, as he never did answer, was as usual some crazy right wing site.....

Beat me to it. It’s not in Poland’s best interest to block it either. The bloke has been out of action for a year and hasn’t got GP fixtures or any other fixture in another league. They’ll want him sharp for the Polish season.

Seems a little bit of envy on here, great work by Ipswich to create such interest and excitement for British speedway:t:

For some, I suspect until the envy wears off.

Absolutely nothing nothing to do with envy what so ever, the more quality riders in our league the better as far as I’m concerned. Just not happy about this one and the timings of its announcement. Don’t tell me they didn’t realise the significance of last Friday, of course they did and chose to use that day for maximum media exposure.

Am I jealous, definitely not.  I would be saying exactly the same things had he signed for Wolves.

Of course you’re not happy because you’ve spent the entire winter putting up your little laughing emoji’s whenever someone posted that Ipswich were actively trying to sign him and posting regularly that Ipswich were wasting their time and it was never going to happen. Now they’ve signed him it’s made you look a bit stupid!

If the PZM were so against Emil then he wouldn't even be riding in the Ekstraliga next season let alone Britain, The fact that the PZM have been backing down gradually tells you everything you need to know.

Anyone would think Emil has walked into Donbass with a Kalashnikov by the amount of hate he's received, He's personally done nothing wrong and he's just a Speedway rider who wants to live his dream. :t:

Two weeks won’t be enough to sort the Emil situation

You have absolutely no idea on the ins and out of this situation. You’re not working on the deal are you? Got to love this forum with all these keyboard experts.

On 2/8/2023 at 9:34 PM, Steve Irving said:

Exactly. Louis will know every single detail that needed/needs to be sorted, and the hurdles he’ll need to overcome. He’ll have been given the chances of success by people working on the deal for him and how long it could possibly take. If he’s decided that the chances are enough for him to keep persevering with it then that’s entirely his prerogative and it certainly won’t prove the keyboard experts on here correct if the chase ultimately fails! He’s seemingly now put a deadline on this and will then move on with a back up. Again, that’s entirely his prerogative!

despite thinking there is no chance of it happening I would actually have liked Ipswich to sign Emil as it would be great to have a rider of his undoubted ability riding in Britain. Now I hope the deal falls through, so this post comes back to bite you.

More glorious nuggets from the vaults. Thoughts and prayers to all those involved, Godspeed.

He is right though. You are the one who posts rubbish like Russia aren’t going to invade Ukraine. Or Trump really won the election

We can see who is the idiot, drunk or sober :D

It was 4 meaning he would be at reserve

It was discussed during the winter that Rew would be 5 cos of amount of meetings he did last season in Poland or Denmark? It was Tate Z who would be 4 (if he got a team place) as he only did the odd one.

This was discussed Nov/Dec time, but whether it was factually correct or not idk. But might be if he is a 5!!

Has Rew’s average gone up to 5? Bit of a blow if it has?

It was originally thought he would be a 4, and in the “riders” section of the official website they also had him down as a 4. They’ve now changed it to 5 and Presenter has also confirmed the assessed 5. I think it makes little difference as I think Hume has always been pencilled in to fill the last spot if we signed Emil. In an ideal world you’d want Rew starting at reserve whilst he settles in, but out of the two I think it’s better that Hume will start at reserve and Rew in the main body so it’s worked out ok.
