Leicester are moving up

Why?

Fixed race nights gone?

They signed Doyle and ran in the top league but ran with many more fans on Saturdays when they dropped down and he left...

Kurtz, Wright, Brennan, Blodorn... will be back.

If Kemp or Flint are available as RS I'd take one, only ones that have done anything at NSS to suggest they are worth signing. Mountain has been Ok but must be too old now.

Fricke has been disappointing for me, Zagar has been good but is getting on.  If Aces can get Bewley back, he'd be the one to excite.

See who fits after that.

Wouldn't touch Etheridge with a barge pole. Fail to see what he has to offer.

Since my post yesterday about the team I’ve heard a few whispers. And one being forget Kurtz. He’s going elsewhere. So not sure which way we will head. Maybe make a sneaky bid for bargain average riders like Douglas with dan being on such a high average

What about riders like Berge / Lidsey who could be on very appealing averages?

I can see Lidsey returning for sure

On a four point average?

Wasn't that his average a few years ago but he never rode....?

If so. ..

Happy days for the Aces I would suspect...

A steal....

However...

You never know what regs may get made up to increase that to a six...:D

In the interests of Speedway, no doubt.

Wolves would bonkers to let Douglas go on the average he finished with.Wasnt always great at Monmore, but more than held his own on the bigger away tracks.Suppose there's always the possibility he wants a change though .

The trouble with Douglas is he don’t like change so staying at wolves will be his preferred option

Although he stayed at Scunthorpe for his first 5 years, that was based on the type of visa he had. After not qualifying in 2018, he had a very good winter in Australia having a lot of training sessions with advice from Darcy Ward & Davey Watt. He was advised to ride on more technical tracks & came back to ride at Leicester & Wolves in 2019 & 2021 achieving better averages away from home. This year has been a revelation for him with being in the top 10 averages in the PL & top 5 in the CL. Moving back to Scunthorpe & racing in Poland has moved him to another level but still adapting to the track at Wolves.

A lot this next year(2023) will depend on the rules in Poland but I can see him moving up a league to Lige1 in Poland, racing on Saturdays/Sundays but still keeping the level of racing in Britain, if it allows. He has improved this year & earned some good money so why make a change if it is not broke!

Fait point....

As he hasn't rode over here for 3 years he really ought to be downgraded to a 4 point assessed man...:D

Only if he signs for the Aces obviously.....;)

I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t a rule change re Jaimon as even though he’s only missed two seasons his low average for Belle Vue will not go down well with BSPL bosses. Imagine us trying to sign the world champion on a 7.00, that would never happen, especially if it was just for the play offs.

That in a nutshell sums up ALL that is wrong with BSPL and British Speedway.

Belle Vue bought him over, presumably made him an asset, invested in him, as dod local sponsors etc.

He then sought to further his delelopment elsewhere outside the UK whilst remaining loyal to BV as an asset.

IF BV want to bring him back then he should be on his perfectly correct and earned average. That's life, that's sport, that should be speedway.

NOT factor it by a mystery number drawn up on the back of a Scunthorpe Rain Off Ticket to appease Bates and Louis or anyone else.

The whole point of the asset system is to build talent isn't it?

If it gives BV an advantage, so what, may be it will make a few others a bit less lazy and try to make things happen rather than moan when nothing good happens to them.

This is what INDEPENDENT GOVERNANCE would bring.

Fairness for ALL, and reward for enterprise.

He won’t have his average changed. Don’t worry.
luke if anyone wants Zmarzlik. He would be an 8 point average. They won’t change that

I'm sure they won't and in some ways that's correct as there are very few examples to date that have been amended

Makes a mockery of having a points limit though when an obvious discrepancy can skew the mix

The " he sought to further his development elsewhere " says it all

There is no loyalty to BV as an asset - he has no choice under the current system

There is no loyalty to British Speedway

If he has now "developed further" then that should be reflected
