Was at the Wroclaw Krosno meeting tonight, we knew it would be a slaughter before booking and apart from the Lebedevs race win the meeting was pretty average.

The atmosphere was something else though.

Poland have huge crowds, full of passionate fans, making loads of noise, with a bona fide justified emotional attachment to their team..

All willing their team on to try and win a competition that has all the world class competitors, kudos, credibility, a wider public awareness through large media coverage, and big financial rewards...

Over here, we measure the entertainment level of the meeting as the key determinant of whether it was a "good night out" or not, because there is pretty much nothing else to go on, given none of the above descriptions apply to a UK domestic meeting..

They had 4 miniature speedway bikes outside the stadium, the kids were queuing to sit on them with parents taking photos.

There were alsomany very noisy and enthusiastic kids around us in the stadium

Future crowds will reap the benefit of this.

Krosno fined 150,000 PLN and a 1 point deduction( suspended for 9 months) for the track problems last weekend.

Was it a gate that was broken? ;)
