Rain due in Poole at 8pm. Be interesting if this gets the same treatment as Glasgow. Will the Glasgow riders demand to carry on? ;)

If we get to tapes say 7.45, delay and waste time, probably around 10 minute delay between heats until it starts to rain should get 5 heats in most probably.

It’s only Met office saying rain, there is a chance it could just miss the stadium area.

seems to me some poole supporters want it both ways .no wonder we get the tag most hated

No, people just want it fair. If Glasgow want it off when they lose their home advantage due to rain then we should have the same. Interestingly Danny King said the track wasn't actually wet when they called it off at Glasgow as they had just turned the material over.

Why not bring the start time forward

I don't think they are allowed to change the advertised start time - certainly would be an unwelcome thing to do on the day of the meeting.

Edit: just checked the Regulations - the Meeting Steward has to be present 2 hours before, and riders 1 hour before (other officials at different times). Changing the start would have an impact on so many people - mostly volunteers, who have other jobs, as well as riders and, most importantly, paying customers.
