Any news on Dan?  Know his sister and grandad said wrist and hip before he was taken off in ambulance but not seen any updates today

They hit the fence with a right ‘thump’ in front of where us Sheffield fans were standing on back straight, poor Dan sounded in a lot of discomfort before he was seen too by St. John’s and taken off in ambulance.  His sister and grandad obviously left to help sort his stuff out before going to hospital, fingers crossed it’s not too bad an injury and he’s back on the bike soon

Just seen on Bend2BarmyArmy FB page that Dan Gilkes suffered a broken wrist last night, so looks like a new Rising Star needed, Ace Pjiper, Ashton Boughen, Jason Edwards??

See on Facebook that Adam Ellis has recently posted this, don’t know about week off as Sheffield have Leicester away and Wolves at home in next 7 days, unless he’s been told he’s being replaced

“One to forget yesterday. Struggle for speed and the second bike blew up on the stand

Just not happening at the moment, week off to get things sorted and decide where to go from here.”

Yep seen that myself! I know Ellis has his detractors (am indifferent really) but 4 ducky eggs is not a score expected from him so clearly a bad night!

Stead’s demeanour and body language clearly showed he wasn’t happy last night when being interviewed. Tai and Gilkes excepted I suspect they all got a bit of a ‘bollocking’ last night!

Well it would a shock if Kyle was dropped. He's been with us since 2016,is the team captain and is one of the very few riders on our asset list!

Correct but sentiment shouldn’t come into it. If you want to win anything you have to make sacrifices and his form has been inconsistent like most others in the team. If his average fits to make the team stronger then he has to be dropped. After all it’s a numbers game and Steady and the Bates know that.

Nobody has mentioned the possibility of Howarth being let go, so far (along with Ellis)

With bonus point included Kyle’s average has gone up 1.6 points from start of the season, so highly doubt they’ll drop him over Adam when his has gone down by 1.8 points over last 18 months.  Easier said than done but they need someone to do the job as a third heat leader, Adam isn’t doing that and neither is Josh they are both up and down with points scoring.  Josh, Kyle and Lewi are all solid second strings (or strong reserves) so the reliance on Adam with the way the team was built was massive and unfortunately over last 18 months he’s just not performed consistently

Maybe replace Ellis with a foreign 5 pointer, Peterborough found a couple of decent ones, maybe there is another one Sheffield could get.

Would have thought Josh Pickering would be one to be considered, he was awful at Belle Vue the other day and you would think the final two teams would be the same as last year so you need riders who go well there.

Lets say then you preferred Ellis to Pickering.
