It is amazing. The league campaign started at the beginning of May leaving 21 Thursdays available for Sheffield. The SON took care of one but they were scheduled to ride two of them on a Monday including this week's postponement leaving 12 Thursdays free. On four Thursdays they rode away and a further three were used for the Pairs. There were another three which were postponed due to the weather/stadium unavailability leaving all of two, one of which was used for a league cup match brought forward from April owing to an earlier postponement leaving one Thursday unused. The worst of the rain forecast is between 7 and 9! Think they're determined to get this on even if it means waiting to ride heats between the worst of the rain and complete 10 heats to get a result. That means this might go on until around 10 pm and be completely devoid of any racing and entertainment, and I'm not prepared to waste my time with that. They had around 5 to 6 hours on 25th August to prepare the track, on what was a beautiful afternoon and evening and couldn't be ar$ed. So afraid I can't be tonight. Riders come out for heat 10 where we all know once completed the meeting will be abandoned and result will stand with Sheffield leading. Then the air fence deflates all by itself... the highly trained Sheffield track staff are unable to fix the issue, the match has to be abandoned without a result as the curfew hits...
