They do use the Champ ave converted but can't go below 4.00. Same rule for Jake Allen, rolling ave would be 3.24, but has a 4.00 ave. If so then Peterborough have the better deal with Ben Cook. Edited December 5, 2022 by foreverblue

Beowulf
Well whatever CVS and Adams have apparently learned from the mistakes of last season it is passing me by. The team is a virtually a clone of last season. Perhaps worse with Shclein returning and in decline. No disrespect to Rory, he exceeded my expectations when we first signed him and he has been a great captain, but like all of us he is not getting any younger ( and has had a year out)

Monmore is a very tricky circuit that most modern day riders aren't too keen on riding twice a year let alone a whole season and I think that's the reason why Wolves go with the same old faces year in year out. Even a few years back the formula was the same when you could easily pencil in riders like Thorssell every year for example.

Monmore is a tricky track to master, consequently a LOT of riders want it as a home track. It gives them a significant advantage in earnings potential for half their meetings each year. It's a bit of a closed shop with many riders wanting to return year after year. Riders stay there for long periods. It can be quite clicky and difficult for outsiders to get in and established there. CVS often goes with tried and trusted riders because some riders just cannot ride the track however much they try. Wolves does not have a shortage of riders wanting to be there.

And also because with CVS at the helm riders know they are going to get treated properly and get paid on time.Thats one of the reasons why most of them are quite contented to remain at Monmore.

Club promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “We’ve got a fair few Australians already back in our line-up and when we were discussing the team for next season, Zach’s name was one which was mentioned by a couple of the existing Wolverhampton riders.“A few of them know him well and spoke about his pedigree, his professionalism and his will to succeed which all fits in very nicely with us at Wolverhampton.“ He’s a rider we feel can improve from down in those reserve berths and he is also really looking forward to everything that lies ahead. Tommy Sweetman
Find it strange why Wolves are taking so long in filling their final spot with the appointment of "Steady Steve" Worrall .Unless something has gone wrong which no one knows about,it should have been a formality in bringing him back for a 2nd term.If for some reason he's not returning, think it will be difficult in finding someone suitable on his average. Have Wolves got another talk in event coming up or a quiz night? They'll probably announce Stevie on that night if you do.

I also feel Kemp did exactly what could have been expected of him. He was a 3.5 Champ rider being signed to ride a number 6 rather than as a rising star! Z.Cook isnt the best number 6 in the league....but uve got to give him a chance .sooner it was J.Knudsen ...good prospect.A least weve got the best RS in the league. In fairness Kemp should have been the RS as Flint had already proven to be the better rider in 2021.
