Very convenient for Poole suggesting we keep racing after heat 5 and try to call it at heat 10 if the rain continues, that way Glasgow lose 5 heats of home advantage. The rain had started again not long after, there was no chance of getting to heat 10, especially after Worrall couldn’t sit still at the tapes, then couldn’t sit on his bike and then destroyed the tapes, I’m sure we could have had a few extra races if he hadn’t thrown his toys out the pram! Why did Glasgow water the track before the meeting?
Noelinho
The track would've been more of a gaters' track, but it was totally ridable. The last heat time was faster than half of the GP Challenge times.

We always hate rain offs but part and parcel I’m afraid. Riders rule these days, fans are just getting fed up as taken for mugs.At least the Promotion are giving fans there money back if they don’t want a rain off ticket.I certainly won’t be going back if there is a cloud in the sky.If speedway can’t go ahead on a track in that condition it’s not going to survive much longer in this country. Far better gaters obviously gave them an advantage

Noelinho
No water went down on the track from when I arrived. Starke's back wheel gave way because he went far too fast for the conditions. Watching from the 4th corner, he was always hitting the air fence. I've seen people ride the fence there enough to know when it'll end well and when it won't. He was far too optimistic.

Paul Starke should know better. You could see what was going to happen, he went into bend 3 too fast and out wide in the deep shale. The other 3 riders had no problem with the lap they completed

Ffs listen Ian Brannan he was asking for water at the heat 4 grade as the dust was going in his coffee!!! 1

Could have got a lot more in if they hadn't have had a rider parade and got on with it at 6pm sharp, or even more if they had started at say 4pm, being the forecast for rain was known days ago

BSN commentary saying the track was “very dusty” after heat 1… It’s clear Poole wanted to continue until heat 10 and then finish.

In all seriousness the rain didn’t arrive until later than forecast I am more mystified why it wasn’t brought forward an hour or two to get the meeting completed.

I'm in two minds about a scenario like Glasgow had today, I want to see a totally fair meeting with racers being able to give 100%, if they couldn't then I'd rather go again ......

kopite92
The irony of Poole fans talking about how to prepare a track. Didn’t Wimborne Road double up as a golf course with the amount of holes that used to be in it? 1
