Let’s face it not many Glasgow fans either. It was a”Political “ decision, with different motives though.

In addition you can't have a two legged tie where one team has more heats at home than the other.....for me meetings have to go the distance over two legs, same principle as removing tac subs in such matches.

You can! It has gone against Poole before. Against BV I believe in KOC. It may have been in the days where you had to do 12 to get a result though.

Did you not watch it Lisa? BSN commentary saying the track was “very dusty” after heat 1…

It’s clear Poole wanted to continue until heat 10 and then finish.

I was at the track and can confirm it was dusty right from the off.

To be fair I've been at Ashfield when it's been dustier.

I'm 100% convinced that if the meeting had been squeezed to Heat 10 then Poole would have wanted it called.

Shouldn't have happened, and shouldn't in the future. Fundamentally unfair. IMO.

Of course they would have and that is why although many including me didn’t agree with it  at the time it was the correct call in the interest of a fair outcome.

Anyway it wouldn’t have got to heat 10 as the rain got heavier after we eventually got out the stadium.

Completely agree, I was there as well. Totally agree re heat 10 as well. It should be a rule that in cup ties or aggregate scoring fixtures, both have to run the distance.

Justin sedgeman also said the track was raceable and they should continue, he also said if Starke hadn't fallen it wouldn't  have been abandoned.

He also said he wasn’t actually on the track so was only giving an opinion from distance, that’s quite an important point.

All ifs, buts, and maybes it was deemed not and abandoned

Nothing more to say really
