Thank you again to all who tuned into Tapes Up TV, was great fun commentating on ice speedway for the first time, and well done to the dominant Franky Zorn on his first title for 15 years!

Did you nearly lose the will to live yesterday - nearly 4 hours  to complete the meeting :)

The little i saw, it was fairly poor quality racing.  Surprised on the firday that Loheider finished so high up the field, because he was poodling round the bends really. But of course was gifted 3 pts in one heat when he was the only finisher

Our next broascast will be the Ice Speedway Legends Race from Inzell on Friday 17th March. If you can't get to the track in person then follow all of the action live on Tapes Up TV. We really can't wait to see our childhood heroes back on track! We are offering a special discount until 48 hours before the event so please get your ticket in advance; as always you will be able to re-watch for a minimum of 30 days after the chequered flag. Please note a totally separate stream from a different provider will go out for the World Championship competition. Our thanks to the club at Inzell and to the track legend Günther Bauer for accommodating us at his Farewell meeting.

Spent an enjoyable weekend in Finland, to take in this event. A packed crowd in the grandstand and open back straight seating had a great time, in what may well be the final such event in the stadium.

Mats Järf showed his quality in being the ultimate winner following an opening heat collision with  Atte Suolammi, which left him writhing on the ice in a great deal of pain, for several minutes. Following an ambulance ride he returned for the rerun.

Possible premeeting favourite  Max Koivula, never recovered from an opening heat ef, and another in his third ride before showing his quality with a showboating win in his final race. This left Järf, the deserved winner coming from the back in each race to claim the title.  My predicted winner, Heikki Huusko, following a great start gradually slipped back to finish 4th, as Järf, went in the opposite direction to take the spoils,

What a joke!!!! 2 riders finish on equal points & we should have had a run off for 2nd & the FIM award on countback.

The commentators at their live official feed didn`t even know it.

Could have been a great ending to the World Championship. Already messed up the scoring system now having reduced the World Championship from 23 heats to 21 heats they bring this in. It really need someone in the organisation with a bit of back bone to stand up for the sport rather a bunch of yes people!!!

Glad I didn`t bother going.
