Peterborough Panthers 2023

8.47 left after Andersen (Assuming he's in)

Riders with GSA's or Assessed averages that would fit are the following.

New 8.00 Assessed rider to British Speedway

Anders Thomsen 8.00 (Former Panthers rider who doesn't ride in Sweden so he could fit British Speedway into his diary)

Martin Vaculik 8.00 (Bjarne Connections and Martin doesn't ride in Sweden either)

Patryk Dudek 8.00 (Open to riding in the UK for 5k a meeting apparently)

Rasmus Jensen 7.86 (Already riding in 3 Leagues but that rule might not apply to riders outside of the Ekstraliga)

Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 (Was the rumoured rider to complete the side but he's not coming over apparently so we'd be relying on him to do a Basso)

Martin Smolinski 7.56 (Could fit UK racing into his diary)

Matej Zagar 7.20 (No contracts signed for 2023 yet)

This rule applies to all polish leagues now

Don’t think Richie Worrall has signed for a PL team yet.

£5k a meeting...?

That's £10k to find from your home meeting to pay for the away one as well..

£14k before VAT...

At £20 to get in that would mean the first 700 punters just pay for him...:o

Or someone brings in a BIG sponsor...

Might be "someone else" I would guess....!!

Can't remember who it was but yes someone on this thread said he wants 5k a meeting.

Silly money isn't it?

Does anyone know if Emil and Artem are riding in Sweden? They are not in the GPs, so they only have the Polish league?

Both are very rusty and want to ride regularly.

Could Peterborough fit both of them in? Might have to ditch the Hans signing if they're on their way over.

Doubt it as he would be doing himself out of a job entirely if he wasn't at Peterborough.

I think Hans is 100% in tbh as for Zagar he'd ride for anyone if the money's right imo. Bit like Mourinho who said he'd never manage Tottenham and he did lol.

Maybe Hans has just said im here if you need me but hes not been signed up in premiership or championship as yet and doesn't look likely he will.

Thats what BV fans said about Zagar,  he says he doesnt like the showground track so your right anything could happen.

If Dudek wants 5k a meeting his alleged fee has reduced already as before it was 6k a meeting as posted on this forum , be down to 2-3k by Jan Feb time then if he really wants a team in Uk

£10k Inc VAT surely as the rider will be VAT registered and the input VAT on the payments to riders will be fully recoverable.

Is the take over even happening now as a month ago they were dotting i’s and crossing t’s, surely all would be sorted by now and announcement made. Team building is another matter completely. I dunno…. Something feels ‘off’

Flappy said last week that it was being held up by the purchase of some land for a new circuit....no reason to disbelieve that.

I’m not convinced. Buying the speedway club is a different thing to buying some land for the club to race at. Surely the sale of the club from buster to tomalin should be a simple task, the land that tomalin wants to buy will then be purchased separately ? He can’t be buying the club and land together as buster doesn’t own any potential land ?

Buster doesn't own the land. However why would you buy Peterborough speedway without having a site secured to develop a new stadium when you lose your current home?

That would seem like good business sense to me.

Put it this way. Panthers have to leave the showground, as yet they don't have a leaving date as nobody gives them one, he's buying land for a new stadium but that doesn't build in a few weeks.

So many moving parts to this.

With all the issues to be sorted for the Panthers to continue racing in the future no disrespect to Buster but he wouldn't of had the drive to keep pushing

Its a blessing in many ways that someone else has come along in the current climate who it so far appears is willing to push though the many barriers and issues involved  and keep the Panthers alive for much longer than initially anticipated .
