Is that wise, with all the tyre issues, would it not be better for a new track to be slightly smaller or less circular?

Or your riders lighter? Don't laugh!!! I know of one rider who had worn his tyre by 4 rides he always has to use someone else's tyre when he was in ht 15, which being a No 1 was almost every meeting

TTT
Still going with this after BV revealed there 1-7. 1. NKI, 2. Andersen, 3. C. Holder, 4. Basso, 5. Zagar, 6. B. Cook & 7. JJ Last year at the Showground. Hans' favourite track and probably his retirement year is a story that writes itself imo.

Nope, sort the tyres. The EoES is one of the best track shapes there is.

It wasn't answered in the style of a Tom Tom device with a starting point of Cambridge although I get your point. It really doesn’t matter how far it is from the EoES if you’re coming from Cambridge. What is the best route? It also doesn’t matter as Fengate will never happen, therefore this discussion is pointless.

I agree that no way would motorsport be allowed at the old dog track site because it is too near residential areas but that's not the site people are talking about, it's only 7 acres maximum including the old car park area and the new site is supposed to be 21 acres. That would mean it would have to be further east on currently undeveloped land either between the rugby club pitches and the power station or between the power station and Flag Fen. Neither of those have any residential areas close by, only light industry, so gaining planning permission for a motorsport venue is entirely possible as long as access issues can be sorted. JoeW436
I’m not sure where this 21 acre thing has come from, I work opposite that piece of land that is rumoured and some of it is earmarked for industrial/commercial development, so all of that won’t be for the speedway club, I do hope it happens for the long term security of the club, EoES isn’t the answer sadly
