It's not that far Rodders. Straight past the EoES (along Oundle Road) into town. Left at town bridge (Posh ground), right at the next roundabout, then right again after 100 yards at the mini roundabout & follow the road round. It's 5 miles from the EoES to the dog track you'll see if it's that far down.

Totally wrong instructions coming from Cambridge to Fengate, the parkway will take you straight there (so imagine you are taking the P)  - but it’s not going to happen, the site is already sold for housing. Even if it wasn’t it’s a very large residential area, no chance of planning permission. Let’s get this one off the table - there will never be Speedway in this area. Not a chance.

No, it was funny...:D

Glad you thought so, to me it was grossly offensive. I wonder why I bother with this board sometimes, probably you all think the same about me.

The question was "is it far from the EoES" so taking that as the starting point and assuming that people can picture that then the directions/distance were totally correct. It wasn't answered in the style of a Tom Tom device with a starting point of Cambridge although I get your point.

So Interest rates up today to 3% how many houses are the developer's of the showground expecting to sell in 2023 now with the increase in mortgage costs

Also have they completed the purchase of the area that the showground track and Grandstand sit on ,if so then maybe they may want as much use of the facility as possible to provide some revenue return which may lead to more frequent meetings and a longer agreement for the speedway to remain in place ???

Still think with the help of the infamous Liz Truss mini budget the Panthers will be racing  at the showground beyond the next season

Good morning all. Would somebody be very kind and bring me up to speed on developments? I've read lots of posts concerning talk of takeover and a new stadium but there is nothing on other sites I can see. Incredibly the last time I saw Panthers was when we won away at Poole - as I live just outside Poole.

Is this site going to be for multi purpose use, because if it's for speedway alone it's totally unviable.Someone as already stated it's 21 acres @£300,000 per acre.On top of that building new track and terracing, that's getting close to 10 million pounds .So it's absolute madness if it's just all about speedway .

He runs several car auction sites so I'd hazard a guess it'd involved something like that onsite

Doubt if the land allegedly being purchased is the greyhound stadium. Land a bit more rural would be a fraction of the price.

Mick George owns the greyhound stadium and there's rumours the football club may be going there

I doubt that very much. Shocking location for crowds of that size.
