Michael Tomalin is a main sponsor but not a promoter of the club

Then why was he was announced as being a Co Promoter before the season started has he resigned from that role now then

I've heard that he hasn't paid his sponsor money. Or only a fraction of it. Sadly It's a bloody mess.

As an Oxford fan who was starved of speedway for 14 years , be thankful that you are at least still running this year and get behind the club in any way you can to help .  It will be a travesty if it goes , but I can’t help thinking if I were involved in the club how depressed I would feel reading some of the comments . The club needs you more now than when they were winning ..!

Another one from Carl Johnson and quite possibly the worst comment yet:

“It’s simple, instead of slagging clubs off get down and help them survive….but I forgot your £22 a week runs a club. I’m sure you have put all your efforts into helping your local tracks survive over the years.”

What a way to speak to your paying supporters. Basically saying even our £22 isn’t good enough! What are these clowns on?

I'll take it as genuine, as you wouldn't be silly enough to post it as a quote. There is so much wrong with the club, it's bloody sad. I hope he's there on Monday and someone has a chat to him about his comments.. Or he addresses the crowd to answer to it.

Scott Campos has said.......

"Daniel, as you know, I'm friends with Dale and will defend him, sometimes out of loyalty granted but on this one he had nothing to do with team building at Peterborough for this season as all of that was taken over by others now involved with Peterborough".

Reading between the lines it looked like Carl and MT were given the job of picking the team?. Fair enough, but Buster must of given them a budget to work on. If either of them didn't know Holder was a no go i'd be gobsmacked.. Apart from Holder/Batch, i doubt if Buster would have a problem if the team was within  budget?. Then you have MT promising the world, and delivered nothing as yet. The word is is that he hasn't paid his sponsor money either.? Now Johnson giving it the big un to the fans

The riders must be peed off as well, no wonder they not doing well. The whole thing is a proper mess from top to bottom :nono:

Here’s another one from the Peterborough promotion team with yet more “I am great and you are bad” attitude.

Carl Johnson:

“It makes me sick to the back teeth with so called supporters of speedway, especially so called Peterborough supporters. I’ve been involved in this club pretty much all my life and never taken anything out of this club, I’ve put in hundreds of thousands of hours to be involved in this club and the work that everyone does behind the scenes by proper Peterborough supporters is amazing and without them we wouldn’t have a club now. We as a promotion appreciate everyone that turns up week in and week out to watch and pay with their hard earned money and again without them we wouldn’t have a club. Don’t you think we are trying to save the future of the club ? We have already said we have identified 2 potential plots of land to move too in the future. Dale work his arse off to get speedway at the Showground this season so loyal supporters could at least have a final season. Everyone knows the situation at the Showground and we are not big enough to stop a £50 million development from going ahead, things are very sensitive with the Showground contract and who knows what happens after October this year.
Michael Tomalin is a main sponsor but not a promoter of the club and the decision on colour change wasn’t down to his investment as we have stated in the past if you have cared to listen and to the reasons why this happened.
We cannot help the reasoning into why Nikki left the club when he did, and we as a management team are trying, and have been trying to secure a rider for that position but if the riders don’t want to come to the uk then please tell me with all your so called knowledge what we do ? You bash the club but I never see you at the track helping to keep this great club alive, you pay your money on the gate but want your say in what happens to the club, if your all so vocal why not get yourselves together and form a committee dedicated to saving Peterborough speedway rather than bashing it ? Why do you want everyone else to do the hard yards for someone else to criticise that decision…I’m sure you all think we sit here and don’t worry about the situation we are in, do we want the club to close ? NO do we want to be in the position we are in the league ? NO can we help it at the present moment ? Not really….City Auction Group ( Michael Tomalin) and Crendon timber ( John Clarke) have funded this club for a few seasons now and never questioned anything, they have supportive in every way and understand the current situation. If you so called Peterborough fans don’t like it then do something about it, don’t just say we pay our money so we are entitled to have our say put some effort in to helping save the club or at least help when we need it…your not there putting up air fences or taking them down or in the winter replacing fence panels or painting , your not there sweeping the pits or cleaning the stands, your not there with your hand in the toilet cleaning it. No your sat at home on your keyboard waiting to bash someone or something else.

If you want this club to survive quit moaning and bashing it and support it like you claim you do. I expect to see all you club bashers on Monday evening.”

Sadly there are many delusional sheep rushing to the defence of the shocking attitude of the Peterborough promotion team.

It all reinforces the point, “put up or shut up”. Expect no changes and a season without a single league point folks because in their eyes they are GREAT!

So unless you clean the toilets or repair the air fence you are not entitled to voice your opinion ? Another embarrassing statement from somebody who did not engage his brain, if you deliver sh** you should be expected to clean it up.

Cheers MT. Yet more great comments! They certainly won’t be getting a single penny from me ever again.

Tomalin said that??

Carl Johnson:

“everyone has an opinion….as we see very often with keyboard warriors. But does there opinion give them the right to run any club ? If they are that bothered about what happens inside a club why don’t they get involved with helping the clubs and not hindering any possibility of a future ? Why on earth would people want to put all the time they do into clubs for nothing but abuse from so called supporters ?”

They are so far out of touch it is unreal. The only abuse that’s been dished it has come from their side.

As I said to Johnson… when you are in a position of management… arguing with your fans on social media with comments like your own has made themselves and the Panthers look incredibly poor. These people are those who have kept the club afloat the past two years. An absolutely disgusting way to treat the paying customers, It’s clear to see PR hasn’t been covered in training staff members.

Our promotion need to hire a PR manager because they're not good when it comes to communicating with the fans.

The fans have every right to call them out.

It's been the same for 20 years so nothing worth getting excited about. When they are backed into a corner with a constant stream of criticism coming their way then they hit out, it's human nature, we'd do the same. The responses I'm reading though are not their finest hour but that's where poor PR & lack of detail leads:

Most disappointing bit for me is:

"Everyone knows the situation at the Showground and we are not big enough to stop a £50 million development from going ahead, things are very sensitive with the Showground contract and who knows what happens after October this year."

Anyone is big enough to make a noise and fuss but we don't appear to be doing either which is probably upsetting some fans? What's sensitive? The club has already said "We have a contract with the Showground until the end of October, and at this stage it is highly unlikely that this will be renewed"

"If you're all so vocal why not get yourselves together and form a committee dedicated to saving Peterborough speedway rather than bashing it?"

Isn't that the definition of a supporters club? A better suggestion would have been to join the supporters club who are working save the club and put your effort in that direction. Problem being that they seem to be as quiet as the management?

Was it ever confirmed? We were just told that it was Tomalin's intention to join CJ and that that was subject to a successful future application. Did that ever go in? Was it accepted? Did something else crop up? Within a few days AEPG issued a statement re their future intentions and Worrall was signed basically knackering up what was seemingly the preferred 1-7. There's many a slip twixt cup and lip!

Lynn ain't exactly pulling up trees, but you won't see Alex Brady giving it the big un to the fans on social media. Terrible from Johnson and MT imo
