Working in the construction industry I understand the importance placed on carbon reduction wherever possible. 

Maybe, as part of the proposed plans and if they get approved planning conditions are that the development has to be delivered to net zero carbon standards i.e air source heat pumps, pv panels etc etc. 

If they are seen to be promoting speedway for the proposed leisure plans this could jeopardise the planning conditions.

Im not saying speedway is the biggest offender in terms of carbon output but, it certainly isn't a tree hugging sport by any means. 

As I say guys, just a thought. I don't know the ins and outs of the proposed development but, I do know construction in 2023 and carbon neutral / net zero carbon is a big thing.

I' m sure you could be correct. While I'm a keen environmentalist and totally agree with plans to make human beings more "green" some of the rules trying to achieve this are ridiculous.

 

If the current Peterborough speedway track and stadium was retained and 30 meetings (nowadays this amount of meetings would be extremely unlikely ) and 20 practise sessions were staged a year that would be 50 days out 365 days a year when speedway would take place and then that'd equate to 45 minutes of noise spread out over 2-5 hours. - Hardly constitutes a noise issue! - Anyway the wonderful grass centregreen is very environmentally friendly! - Anyway eventually combustion engines will be a thing of the past and electric bikes will be the norm.

 

The current speedway track and stadium would be brilliant additions to the leisure developments. - Has anyone tried to plant this seed thought in the mind of Councillors, planners and other relevant parties?

Riders know panthers are desperate and are pushing their luck and in all honesty you can't blame them. 

Poor team selection and then having to fix things costs ££££.  I'd be stopping the guest facilities if I were the league now

Totally agree with you, RW is 2nd in the 2023 averages behind NKI, problems with the team are elsewhere.

They can't actually believe the stuff they're posting in Worrall's defence because they would be contradicting themselves considering how they're criticising MPT and Klindt on another thread for putting in Richie Worrall type of performances every week, Funny enough they want both MPT and Klindt sacked for it.

Trying to single out Basso for his performances when he doesn't even have 2 years of experience in the top league is laughable considering Richie Worrall has 10 years worth of top league experience dating all the way back to his Elite League days with the Lakeside Hammers.

Do you want me to dig up all your pre-season posts from the vaults where you were championing his signing shouting from the rooftops that he was “a very good shrewd signing” that you were very happy with, even posting up his eye catching scores from the previous season to back up your comments?? You was happy with RW, until the 6 point rider scored 4 in his first meeting ! All i did was post this seasons stats comparing RW to Basso. I'm no Worrall or Buster fan boy, but i will stick up for someone if i think they taking flack that i don't think is warranted. Same with Buster/Tomalin... I see Buster asked for help from sponsors to help with the extra money that Zagar wanted. No was the answer. If a sponsor can't afford a extra £100 a point, i can't see them buying the club and building a stadium......And before anyone says, MT knows the situation "his" club are in.......

It was other sponsors who had been promised the world that were being asked for more.

I was trying to remain positive rather than ripping the guy to shreds before the season started in the hope that he'd prove the consensus wrong, I wanted to give the guy a chance to prove me wrong but obviously he hasn't and it turns out he is just as bad as the majority said he was which has left me no choice but to side with those who called it spot on before the season.

And for the record I only have this account even if you don't want to believe that.........If you're another one of these members who allow the Basso troll to live rent free in your head then maybe you should contact the moderators and ask them for some information in regards to how many accounts are linked to the same IP address and then ask the moderators to tell you what are the names of those accounts, That way your mind can be put at rest and I guarantee you won't find my account on that list....Happy to have a big money bet with you on that and then you can PayPal me the money once you lose.

I use to spend days on here trying to prove to other members that I wasn't the forum troll but barely anyone believed me........Now I just feel sorry for those who still actually think it's me because all it does is prove how mentally weak the accusers are for allowing the troll to live rent free in their heads to a point where they get so worked up on a daily basis and end up throwing around the same accusation........Even Mick Bratley got accused today which just goes to prove my point.

100 per point per meeting soon adds up if he does well, buster essentially asking said sponsor for another 15 grand on top of what they already had given the club with no certainty of the future.
