But i do disagree about the 'isn't anywhere near..' comment. Seeing as you and @Aries are obsessed with stats, well here are some: Last 6 home meetings for each of them at Champ level in 2022 Ben: 5, 9+3, 10+2 , 11+4, 9+1, 12+2 (riding at 2 or 4) Craig: 9, 12+3, 15, 4, 9 , 6 (riding at 1 or 3) Difficult to compare when riding at different places in their teams but not as much of a massive gap as you make out. Or 2023 as both HLs so fairer comparison (just home meetings again) Ben: 11+2, 7+1 Craig: 14, 9. Averages: 2021: Ben 4 and Craig 9.92 2022: Ben 5.52 and Craig 8.79 2023: Ben 6.09 and Craig 8.24 Can't say i don't try and back up my opinion So whilst Craig is better atm the gap is closing all the time Think i have made my point now a hundred times over so will leave it at that for everyone's sanity lol Rather have Ben in my team any day.

That is, I believe, the best angle of attack. Also we need to get as many people to make objections to the plan as possible, if we can get the objections in the thousands, somebody somewhere might notice and say, hang on a minute. Here's the thing. If AEPG have to find an alternative land & create a suitable venue, Bratley & Tomlin are still out the picture, it's still all Buster's. If a new stadium does comes to fruition Buster will be asking for an even bigger sum as the club will be on a more secure footing.

It’s a million pound investment which you will never get back Is the 100 grand accurate and true..?

MT probably wants the club for next to nothing, because it might only have this season left. On the other side , theres Buster wanting more because if the AEPG do have to find and build a new venue, then it will be worth a whole lot more. And he would of almost gave the club away.

Then why not have a few clauses in the contract.. A cost for one year only (or what's left of it), and one ongoing if the Panthers continue until they reach a final settlement over "x" years . Without making it easy for people they'll not get hundreds so the club (possibly the supporters club if Chapman doesn't want to rock the boat) need to draw up a downloadable template/s, with the addition of the details of where it needs to go (preferably e-mail for ease), so that supporters only have to enter their personal details and date it. That should bump up the numbers, especially if the request is circulated elsewhere via social media.

Both MT and Buster know that the value of the club is dependant on what happens there both no mugs when it comes to being a business man Im sure MT would love to pay a few grand for the licence now but Buster knows going forward it could be worth alot more , so its a waiting game for sure Edited April 25, 2023 by scoobydoo

That's fairly simple the contract is at nominal value for the sale of the club but contains overage provisions in the event that the new owners are successful in finding a new venue within X years such sum to be on a sliding scale the sooner they find it the more the additional payment. Sully
Looks like Peter Oakes has a feature in speedway star this week regarding the future at Peterborough. Hopefully an insightful read….

But speedway is very short term thinking anyway. Ben Cook has done ok so far, but if Peterborough removed him and replaced him with Craig Cook, Peterborough would immediately become a stronger outfit. No ifs buts or maybes, they simply would. Nobody even knows if Craig Cook wants to do a full season in the Premiership either. He may be happy enough riding for Edinburgh and doing the odd guest booking here and there in the top flight, who knows. It’s a given, Craig is miles ahead of Ben as things stand. It’s a no brainer replacement if possible. Must admit I wouldn’t really want him anywhere near a team of mine however if he fit at wolves to replace the other Cook it would be a no brainer.

Flappy
Looking at the team declarations for May Panthers have 9.9 points spare before you start removing under performing riders. With a bit of ambition there's an opportunity to really strengthen especially given the averages of Worrall and Hans have grown slightly
chrismorton
I'm sure they will be all over that information like a rash..but they should be because if they don't do something for instance I won't be going to the next home match and if they do then I will..simple as that! and I'm sure I'm not the only one. And yes everyone will say I'm not a proper fan but the Belle Vue match wasn't even competitive so I left after heat 10 because it was just boring and processional and not fun to watch. Make the changes now!..save the season and this could have an effect on saving the club. Edited April 26, 2023 by chrismorton
