Craig Cook in the same team as Ben Basso yeah that would be a stupid move after there very recent disagreement at Glasgow,

Cook also took to social media to suggest he may of even knocked Basso off deliberately would you really want them in the same team .

Yes, absolutely would!

I think you have bigger fish to fry at the moment than winning speedway matches. If your club does not survive into the future you'll not be winning Speedway matches again for a very long time

I mean that is a pointless and very obvious post, I think anyone with a brain knows this

Every single rider in the top 20 of the Polish Ekstraliga and first division.

Nobody wants to accept the Panthers offer. The weakened sterling is also causing problems, riders want to be paid in euros. Panthers unwilling to budge on this as their revenue is in pounds.

Not true but can't believe I'm even replying

Not according to LP30 he doesn't. I think that's the battle ground, if he is interested in buying a speedway club, which I'm not convinced that he is (didn't Frost say that it seemed like a good idea at the time, based on a bit of sponsorship and a visit? And that was in the good times of Skysports Elite League) along with whatever agreement the club's owner made with AEPG when we got a full 2023 when initially the doors were going to close mid season?

He wants it

Tell them my shop converts £'s into Euro's...

A good rate too....;)

Thanks for the feedback... amid all of the other pointless posts on this hysterical thread I'm surprised you've not replied to all the others

I get your point completely but it does kinda go without saying

You guys don't even have any kind of petition for the Speedway world to sign! What's the plan... to print this thread out with people saying close the club down now! I'm almost lost for words... not quite though :D

I've spoken to @Mick Bratley and Michael Tomalin regarding this and the consensus is as below

The time to start one is when we actually get to look at AEPGs plans and see, I suspect, that there is no provision for a new venue which is against the LP30 policy that is committed to in the Peterborough Local Plan. That is, I believe, the best angle of attack. Also we need to get as many people to make objections to the plan as possible, if we can get the objections in the thousands, somebody somewhere might notice and say, hang on a minute.

Likewise. I don't care if they like each other

Back in the early days of professional rugby union, the great tradition of the on-pitch mass brawl from the good old amateur days was allowed to continue, courtesy of old-school refs like Tony Spreadbury who used to stand aside, let them get on with it, wait till it all calmed down, and occasionally applied a disciplinary measure. Once the players got it out of their systems, things usually calmed down. These days, the refs are running in and tooting their whistles as soon as a player does anything in the slightest bit aggressive to an opponent. And fights between team mates were not uncommon! Speedway needs to increase its appeal by bigging-up the needle and aggro, including between team mates. Too much of the matey stuff gets on my wick

You don’t have to watch ANY meetings to come to that conclusion, the stats speak for themselves. Currently, Ben Cook isn’t anywhere near Craig Cook that’s a simple fact.

Even though i never said Ben was better than Craig. But i do disagree about the 'isn't anywhere near..' comment. Seeing as you and @Aries are obsessed with stats, well here are some:

Last 6 home meetings for each of them at Champ level in 2022

Ben: 5, 9+3, 10+2 , 11+4, 9+1, 12+2 (riding at 2 or 4)

Craig: 9, 12+3, 15, 4, 9 , 6 (riding at 1 or 3)

Difficult to compare when riding at different places in their teams but not as much of a massive gap as you make out.

Or 2023 as both HLs so fairer comparison (just home meetings again)

Ben: 11+2, 7+1

Craig: 14, 9.

Averages:

2021: Ben 4 and Craig 9.92

2022: Ben 5.52 and Craig 8.79

2023: Ben 6.09 and Craig 8.24

Can't say i don't try and back up my opinion :D

So whilst Craig is better atm the gap is closing all the time:t:

Think i have made my point now a hundred times over so will leave it at that for everyone's sanity lol
