Peterborough Panthers 2023

I believe the floodlights and pylons belong to the speedway club also.

It is a mess though no doubt, I hope prospective riders are not holding the club to ransom with extortionate wage demands as they know we are desperate.

No of course not. It’s just people are so quick to slag of Buster. When MT gave it the big en, and hasn’t delivered so far.Maybe it’s time for him to back up all the talk. Don’t you think?

I’m not so sure about compensation, I think that’s misguided. In real terms as things stand, Buster has nothing to sell and a buyer for the club has nothing to buy, apart from a club name on a Speedway licence.

I think all criticism of Buster is unfair, he’s doing his best for sure in my opinion, he IS a good guy and does want the club to survive. It’s not easy running a Speedway club and very often, actually always, it’s about mitigating losses rather than making a profit.

There certainly won’t be any compensation from AEPG unless they comply with the Peterborough Local Plan and specifically policy LP40, where they should provide a new facility. But seemingly some councillors haven’t read the local plan since it was made available in 2016. It’s a tough read though. LOL (Page78 is relevant to Panthers, the document is on the Peterborough City Council website).

I get what you're saying Mick but he is his own worse enemy with his lack of communication with fans and press releases and  and this causes frustration amongst fans who see nothing happening and then this breeds negativity..

I hear what you say. BUT just because we’re not hearing anything it doesn’t mean nothing is being addressed. I know it is.

Yeah but how hard is it to grab the Mic on racenight and give some re-assurance to the fans that something is happening..that last press release was a joke throwing all the club stuff on the end of the Nicki P Comms...to me it looked like he had read the stuff on here and threw his toys out the pram..

That's why I'm giving MT et al some slack. As the news item said: " there has been an enormous amount of work going on behind the scenes, and sometimes you cannot jeopardise that work by ‘saying nothing’ just for the sake of it." although 'saying something! sounds better.

So there would be disposal organisation and costs with the grandstand if they offloaded it to us? You've got to admire the effort!

why? i thought Buster's actions with the team showed he's the one in charge

Because he  MT promised the world, and delivered naf all. After what he said he would do, at least he could cover Zagars extra £100 a point…Don’t you think?
