Deluded

Nothing deluded about it! You’re hoping it’s delusion because the ONLY set of fans that want Sayfutdinov here are Ipswich supporters. All this “I really hope he does come cos it’s great for our league but I just can’t see it” is complete b0llocks that most of us can see right through!

Whether you or Tinywhatshisface from 6 finger land who continues to stick his fingers in his ears and go blah blah blah and pretend it’s all still rumour with no substance, the fact is that Louis is actively trying to get this deal done.

Whether he’s ultimately successful is neither here nor there and won’t prove you or anyone else who maintains he’s “definitely not coming” right. Louis will know more than you on what this deal needs to get over the line, and the fact he’s still actively pursuing it tells you that he believes he can get it done. If it was black and white with little to no chance he would have moved on to someone else, that is currently NOT the case.

I suppose it it depends on your definition of red tape.

The Collins English dictionary defines red tape as "official rules and procedures as red tape that seem unnecessary and cause delay."

Are you saying that the FIM ban on Sayfutdinov is unnecessary?

I would suggest that the bans howing support for the Ukraine (and also our governments viewpoint on Russian sportsmen) could be considered rather more than just red tape.

Of course it is if they’re allowing him to ride in Poland!!!!

A Polish citizen on a Polish licence.....

Should be rather straightforward really so yes definitely red tape by the definition you provided

I suggest you read this  https://www.fullnoise.com.au/fullnoise-news/fim-suspends-russian-and-belarusian-motorcycle-competitors-and-competitions/

Note this part….  "The FIM Board of Directors unanimously recommends to all Affiliated Members and Continental Unions to apply these measures at the national and continental levels."

The situation with him in Poland is slightly different because he is a Polish citizen and rides and a Polish licence. Our government have made it clear that no Russian sportsmen are welcome in this country at the moment, tennis players at Wimbledon, for example.

Well you’ve answered your own question really haven’t you?

So citing this example from Wimbledon there should be no problem (other than the little matter of the Home Office and visa red tape)

And Wimbledon have been fined multi millions by their world governing body , ranking points were removed from the tournament and potential future expulsion is on the agenda should they continue with the stance in 2023.....

It’s “red tape”. Dance around it any way you like, it’s red tape. You’re another who is desperate for this not to happen, we get it.

Okay this is my last post on the subject.

Yes, Wimbledon was fined because the ITF didn't agree with their stance of banning Russian players. However, the FIM have already banned Russians from their events and no way will the ACU/BSPA go against that knowing our government's views.

Steve, you think it's just red tape? We'll have to agree to disagree

Combining what Gasser90 and Flappy have been saying fairly consistently, it seems that six of our riders might be as follows….

Niels-Kristian Iversen 7.59
Chris Holder 7.16
Benjamin Basso 6.81
Ben Cook 4.06
Hans Andersen 4.93
Jordan Jenkins RS

.... and that leaves 8.45 for the final rider.

Assuming that is correct for the moment I very much doubt whether either Worrall or Tungate is the missing rider as that would leave us to far under the limit to make any sense. Much more likely to be either Rasmus Jensen or someone who hasn't raced over here so far, coming in on an 8.00 assessed average.

Rasmus doesn’t want to ride in the uk, pboro tired him months ago, I think the team will be

NKI,Andersen,basso,worrall,holder,cook and jenkins.
I know it’s under the limit but I think tomalin genuinely believes it’s a fantastic team that will challenge for the title. And if he’s got it in his head that it’s a good team of course all of his press and tweets are going to mimic that,

we tried jensen, dudek,Bjerre, Thomson, lindgren, lindback, MJJ, woffinden, and loads of other young poles but they said no. Mainly due to the cost of having a UK set up and all the flights etc, most would rather have 1 said if bikes on the continent and race Poland/Sweden Denmark,

nicki P said he will gladly ride in the uk for pboro or Ipswich but he wants nearly 4k a meeting
