With the current issues being faced by Birmingham to field a competitive team in the 2025 premiership ,

What state would the league of been in if Wolverhampton & Peterborough were still running ?

They would have had to reduce the points limit, which would have forced three clubs in particular to drop one of their big guns.

Birmingham wouldn't then be in the top division. Both Birmingham & Oxford are only there because those 2 clubs have gone.

Oxford yes,  but Birmingham moved up due to race night restrictions not primarily because they wanted to,  theres always the possibility that Lynn would of dropped down as well i suppose

Technically, that's true, but only because they were blocked from joining the Premiership in 2021 by the other clubs not wanting to share the TV money. When Peterborough and Wolverhampton sadly closed, the other clubs then realised they might not get any TV money and Oxford were miraculously welcomed with open arms in 2024. Funny that!

So if this is correct (I'm not saying it isn't) and if Panthers are ever back on track, then they might not be welcomed back into the Premiership?

Refusal for homes is to be reviewed

A final decision on controversial plans to build 650 homes on a section of the East of England Showground that was home to speedway racing for 50 years is expected next year, it has been revealed.

Peterborough City Council says its appeals committee is unlikely to meet until January to review the decision made on October 15 by the local authority’s planning committee to refuse permission for the homes.

If Coventry, Peterborough, Wolverhampton were to be revived as we all hope that they will be, their only option would be a league lower that the Premiership.

If they were admitted to the top league, it could only be through a massive reduction in the points limit which the existing Premiership clubs would be loathe to accept.

If one out of the three clubs mentioned did come back, that would replace Brum, & if two came back, possibly a team would drop down. Although I would love all three teams to come back, it's highly unlikely in my opinion.
