Speedtiger
Well that’s one down and one to go to see the back of Chapman. And true to form the farewell meeting was apparently a big disappointment and let the loyal Panthers fans down treating them with arrogant contempt.

Would it be anywhere near the sale value if it went for houses.......no, however that doesn't mean its not viable. Quoting rent 12x what it was, seems just a way to kick the speedway and make it appear unviable. AEPG think that they say all of the right things but the more that they say and do, the more incompetent and selfish they look. If the East of England Agricultural Society and Peterborough City Council had held an open and well publicised initial consultation process then we'd never have got here in the first place. We wouldn't have been blighted by the self proclaimed Mr Motivator of the development industry trying to convince everyone of the AEPG alleged active wellness, lifestyle and health credentials that would easily have been delivered without their unwanted assistance. It's on the Panthers Facebook page Basically there are some good people out there who want to do something and take it forward by building somewhere, now the season is over it's a case of sitting down and seeing where it goes from here

The majority of the added costs were probably due to the need to keep the whole site open without anything else operating there rather than changing it round so that the speedway was fenced with an enclosure in it's own area for operations, parking and security. The pre and post-match security alone to check that entire site would have swallowed a fair lump of cash that would not have been necessary had they not been so pig-headed as to keep trying to clear a part of the site that will now just rot away just so they could carry on pretending the speedway was no more viable than all the events that used to use the site that were evicted s well so they could make more money getting houses and roads built on it. The grandstand, track and pits were actually closer to the entrance gate than almost the whole of the rest of the site and could have easily been separated off for years. And I would have thought that the EEAS members could have provided loads of goats or cows to keep the grass short on the rest of the site so it was at least doing more good for the charity than just leaving it to waste while they get their act together for what is likely to be a 10-year plan at the very least. 2

"It’s a major boost to a local consortium, who we can now reveal, are in deep negotiations with current owner Keith Chapman to buy the club." "Sport England’s intervention has breathed fresh impetus into the consortium who are desperate to buy the speedway rights from Chapman" Surely both parties can sort a deal out between themselves.. There can't be much value in it. Air fence, flood lights and any machinery that Buster has brought in .Or is it just the name they want ? Daniel Smith
Seed change is more appropriate. AEPG were enjoying a little to much, not realising a change in wind & copped themselves in the face
TTT
Believe in those fighting for us, They truly care about our club. Ignore anything Buster says because he wants us gone hence why he hasn't bothered putting up any kind of fight and just encouraged people to give up all hope. #KEEPTHEFAITH

He had to keep AEPG sweet all year, and probably still does? Some of the messaging and detail (or not) within it throughout 2023 has, even so, been rather disappointing though! Buster is done now though. The important thing now is to keep the pressure up on the EEAS/AEPR/PCC which will be vital support for those behind the scenes fighting for our future. Under pressure AEPG couldn't get their prepared statement out quick enough on Sunday and that said: What will happen to the track at the end of the 2023 season? AEPG and the current owners of the Panthers are in conversation about the removal of any elements owned by Peterborough Speedway and Keith Chapman. There is a good relationship and a timeline which suits both parties will be agreed. At no time have AEPG given a deadline for this activity to take place. And after yesterday's glimmer of hope they've similarly rushed out their counter story which I'm sure raises more questions than it answers.
