Makes Peterborough stronger but not sure if it makes Leicester stronger

Think that be two moves Stewart Dickson may regret.

Everyone knows what Bomber is capable of around the showground so that can only be seen as a positive move.

It's certainly been a bad year for Captains! Chris Harris, Hans Andersen, Ritchie Worrall and Josh Pickering all binned off... the arm band seems a bit of a poisoned chalice... or completely meaningless

Apart from the toss I don't think captains have the same time to help and/or motivate team mates during meetings these days so the position maybe doesn't carry the prestige it once did.

But then again that can be said of a few things in speedway such as The BLRC

And he may not .

I've known Stewart a long time and he is one of the best in the business and the number of errors he has made can be counted on one hand.

However, with all respect to Batch, I felt that was a knee jerk reaction in response to the Morris situation moreso at Leicester than Birmingham.

Can only wish all the riders involved success in the months to come.

Truckfest going won't make any difference. Time will tell but I've been told people are willing to talk from all parties.

Either way it'll be a stay of execution if we get another year rather than a long term thing

And who told you that? AEPG are not willing to talk to anyone allegedly and the EEAS are oblivious to what's going on (or they don't care), have put their faith in the wrecking crew they contracted to carry out their business and are happy for their legacy for the next few years to be an unkept dump & car park/garage and unused but useable speedway circuit.

Is the Events Centre owned by AEPG now or has it remained in the hands of the showground manafement or another private ownership

Cannot see many shows or Events wanting to use the place if the surrounding areas become untidy and prime vandal and joyriding hotspots .

AEPG Don’t own anything, they are tenants with a remit to develop the land, they only get paid, as do the EoEAS, when something is built. They can’t build anything without planning approval, one would assume that AEPGs contract with EoEAS says they have to maintain the Showground until something is built. The EoEAS still own the Showground.

Thanks for the Info ,  so the discussions of any further lease approval for the use of the track etc was carried out with the EoEAS then as someone else said it was AEPG who said no to any further lease ,

Cant see the Events Centre being very popular and in much use then for shows etc if the surrounding areas are just left to rack and ruin

Maintain to what level, if at all? As you know, the message from the EEAS is that AEPG no longer have staff to keep the site open, which is no doubt a factor in them not wanting us around in future. You'd have thought that the EEAS would bend their ear to let us run because that would at least keep some of the site in reasonable condition. Developers generally want no action on their sites so that they go to rack and ruin and then their unpopular proposal looks like progress as it refreshes the dump that they've presided over.,

No. Discussions take place with AEPG, they run the Showground, they make the decisions on the development of the Showground. They are the EoEAS chosen developer.

That’s about the strength of it.

All very speedway really and you'd think that they'd want to steer clear of such association because their terminology is "our current promoter" :)
