Guy Nicholls could sign off the contracts for both without batting an eyelid. This fella is minted beyond belief. He made a 100,000 donation to an Ipswich school 3 years ago, and his businesses and personal wealth have rocketed since even then! What works in Ipswich’ favour as apposed to other wealthy backers at other clubs, is that Nicholls is as big a fan as anyone. He’s been standing on the terraces at Foxhall on a weekly basis since the 70’s and is a massive fan of the club. If Louis went cap in hand and said “I can get Emil in with your help and have a real push for the title” then he could be easily persuaded. Crump was signed on a ridiculous deal for a rider who had been retired for years, but the deal was signed off with no qualms.

I hope the rumoured Emil deal comes off coz if not Ipi will be struggling to put a side together, ain't many riders left to go round and the ones that are like Batch and Worral can't ride for Ipi and Peterborough. It’s total guff as far as I’m concerned. The delay is more likely far simpler than that, they haven’t a clue who to fill the last two spots and are scrambling around the continent trying to get someone to say “yes”. Tbf to Phil he said along the lines of being told the deal was done but he wouldn't believe it until it is announced.

Absolutely, I appreciate that Guy Nicholls could fund it but I just can't see it happening personally, whatever somebody's wealth that would be an awful lot of money to part with for a sport like ours. If it does happen it would give Ipswich the air of the 1998 team and all the hidings they handed out.

TTT
Told you Flappy's info is legit. Can pencil in Chris Holder for sure and at least one of Nicki P / NKI Carl Johnson commenting on 2023 signings on the press releases rather than Buster Chapman is very telling as well. scoobydoo
Second season running Peterborough have signed the best and most entertaining rider to come from the championship that hadn't ridden previously in the premiership Starting at reserve as Basso did it will allow him to settle racing against riders hes been beating consistently in the championship So far its been Ben Basso and then Ben Cook who is next Ben Barker or will they sign a Bill to go with the Ben's Edited December 31, 2022 by scoobydoo

Showground will suit him down to the ground and Chris Holder will probably take him under his wing and mentor him throughout the season, Ben will do well and he'll score consistently well on big tracks imo but he might struggle around the technical places which is what you would expect from any newcomer to the league these days imo. For Poole last season he got better and better as the season went on.
