Mike0310
Glasgow will get some extra match practice in there rearranged fixture with Plymouth which I reckon they will want before the semi finals.

I think Leicester will send them up north and I we'll find it too tough. Too many injured riders, and Connor Bailey's not got anyone else to race for. That said, I'd like a semi-final against Edinburgh, so we have two matches to go to. Think Leicester want Poole

The 'Bar Bandits' stood on bend two all evening amongst Poole fans and just around from the NID gang by the pits and there were no issues whatsoever and plenty of laughs/banter were had. On entry to the stadium, our group were challenged by a member of the home support as they were allowed to take drinks around to our position instead of walking all the way around the track. Our group did nothing to provoke any violence bar one small, ill-advised comment which was never intended to cause any harm or offence but there was quite a hostile approach taken by said individual who was spoken to by security for his behaviour. We were also spoken to by the security team just to clarify the position and other than this one rather unsavoury incident, there were no such thing as trying to start fights and everyone enjoyed themselves whilst being respectful. (I can 100% confirm this as due to not feeling on top form, I was free from alcohol last night haha!) Absolutely spot on. Thought it was good to see the away fans in good voice.
Mike0310
I find it baffling how Andersen can win races in the top division so far 2 wins and a paid win tonight but can’t win a race home or away for us .

Not the only one, Batch does better for Ippo than he did for Oxford. Also with Hans on his SM he said something about going back to the track where he got concussion. Even though he has ridden at Poole like a million times!

It was mentioned on SM last night about 'Plymouth fans embarrassing themselves' so I asked why and that is when they said about being drunk and trying to start fights. But I am happy to take your side of events! There was someone continuously shouting w@!?#r at the pits, not sure who it was directed to but Richard Lawson happened to be in the BSN booth at the time... There was one individual who we know {Poole} was stirring the poo All the Plymouth fans were well behaved and were a credit to there club. 7

I can categorically assure you 100% this was none of us plymouth fans. We were shouting to Lee Trigger who was by the pits. Said individual who I referred to yesterday who tried to create a problem was using that word in gesture format towards us
lewy
So basically the Poole fans are saying the Plymouth fans did nothing wrong Plymouth fans are saying they did nothing wrong, does the mean it was a Poole fan who was out of order?

mikebv
Sounds like some away fans attending created some atmosphere.... What a novel situation.... It seems no "rude words" were used, however, even if there was... It generates a bit of rivalry which so many Speedway meetings clearly lack and ultimately suffer from... A shame that every meeting doesn't have at least a coach load of away fans in attendance.. Would give the meeting some meaning... 3

The issue at Poole is that some of the locals are most unwelcoming and frankly rude! They seem to think they have a divine right to win and come across as extremely arrogant. Bullies don't like it up em! God Knows what Speedway fans these days would make of the likes of Soldier Boy (Belle Vue) and their support which was always large numbers, or some of the more rauccous but at heart harmless but enthusastic Cradley and Wolves fans who used to create atmosphere wherever they went. At CL level in the past few years the Scottish Clubs and Leicester stand out in terms of away support in numbers and some good old fashioned passionate support.
