The post I quoted said it strengthened the Bears a good bit and my point was it didn’t - more like for like in my opinion having watched Riss a lot around Redcar. Excellent team performance, probably the best of the season. Charlie back to much better form and the 2 reserves scored really well. Kyle was really good tonight. The change in line up helped the Bears tonight. Sam had a really poor night by his high standards and it was only the ever entertaining Pickering who was consistent for the Monarchs. Another KO cup final. Bears will be underdogs obviously but a good achievement just to get there. cyclone
Well done Redcar, best team over the 2 legs. Even with a normal Masters performance, imo we would still have lost on aggregate. Re the play offs & Bears limited choice of guests, hopefully they can up with those who can perform up to the standard that Erik Riss would be expected to, home & away. HGould
It's not how you start its how you finish The damper and therefore deeper Autumn tracks will suit Charlie Wright, they can perm decent Guests for Riss and will always have 2 strong reserves perming Newman , Kasper , JJ and Jason. Redcar could just be peaking at the right time. Their track is actually probably just too fair to all so home advantage is not easy there. Good set up be great to see them win something. King Jamie
Interesting to see Monarchs giving up their 'advantage' in the play off QF by deciding to host the first leg instead of the second. An obvious admission that having the first leg at Redcar (as should've been the case) would've led to a deficit that many would see as irretrievable, hence potentially lowering the attendance figure. Smart fixture planning

Gr8scot
Enjoyed our trip to Redcar again but making a habit of coming off second best. We blew the first leg with only a 4 point lead but once Super Sam blew his best engine while leading heat 5, we were in trouble. Way too many 0 scores and not even a ht 14 from Paco Superb from Josh as usual Congrats to Redcar and we’ll meet again next weekend
