Apparently SIS will only let them use the stadium once a week on a Wednesday and that won’t work in top flight. But they do want to move up and make a statement with Bewley at no1

Ipswich has a population of 130,000+ and draws from the wider areas of Suffolk and north Essex.  King's Lynn & west Norfolk has an area population of 150,000+.

Over 22,000 were at Portman Road on a Tuesday night to watch 3rd Division football, so there is an appetite for a night out to watch sport ... even paying £30 to sit in cramped plastic buckets.

As per my earlier post, it was a tongue in cheek comment regarding city clubs being forced to move into the top league. I just feel as though the Premier League is stagnating and a radical shake up is required, hence my idea of city tracks being at the top table. 

I'm sure most people on here will agree that something needs to be done so that we can move into 2023 with something new to look forward to and not the same old old! More teams are defo required equals more league matches and then they can do away with the Pairs which in all honesty has never taken off.

Bad jokes are not "laughable". Neither are jokes which you've heard so many times, are just plain embarrassing. In neither of these cases, does the person telling the "joke" realise it to be the case, and so keeps on doing the same thing, over and over, until he's still performing but everyone's long since gone away and found other things to do

Depends. Edinburgh potentially not being around next year doesn’t help, but there’s still Berwick not too far away. Northside would make is better as well.

For the Premiership to be worthwhile for Glasgow, we’d need more teams further north, IMO, but definitely more teams. Five opponents and a league of six is embarrassing. Especially when two of those teams have been hopeless all year. We see quality racing in the Championship, and a variety of teams, and to me that’s the most important consideration. We don’t need to replicate the SFL with half a dozen games between Montrose and Raith Rovers every year. It gets old.

I think speedway is pricing itself out as well. Not really viable to get a season ticket because you miss 1 meeting at Ipswich it's not worth getting it. £20 a meeting very expensive imo. Doyle probably worth that alone but with the watered down leagues we have these days why should we pay that price. They need to try get people into the sport with promotions and deals

I’ve never brought one for the reason you state, poor value. But I actually did this year as the Ipswich one was a lot better value than normal. It allowed you to miss two (May have even been three?) meetings and still be in profit for theoretically another half meeting. Used to be miss one and just about break even like you say. 
 

As it happens and just my luck, I haven’t been able to attend since the summer through ill health so the one year I buy a season ticket because it was decent value, and it all went belly up!

As I said on another thread the top 3 have all broken the rules this season this is why I am cheering on Wolves.They say cheats never prosper,only in speedway when they finish 1,2,3 in the league standings.

So there we have it, seven team league and an increased points limit. Louis isn’t speculating or guessing here as he clearly knows. 
 

I’d heard it was Leicester and one of Oxford or Glasgow coming up to make it an 8 team league. So either someone is dropping down or it’s Leicester only making the move up.

This forum perfectly sums up why the sport is dead. It matters not a jot to you lot that the rules were correctly followed, it’s not even about fair play as you scumbags were rubbing your hands with glee once Max was in hospital and we had a second division rider covering - you were in glover as normally Cooks 5 to Maxs 16 would have been an issue that would have swung the tie away from the Aces. 

The people running the sport are fans who’ve got lucky in business and have a bob or two but primarily they are fans, just like you. Spiteful, devious, sick, just basic horrible individuals who bend and break the rules to feather their own nest and sod the bigger picture. Well done guys, you’ve killed it off with your hatred of the rule book and one particular team.

How have Ipswich broken the rules this season? They replaced Heeps with Barker before the league had started. Then replaced Riss who was a long term injury with Tungate, and Barker who was suspended for the rest of the season with Summers. All within the rules.
