pleasureboy60
Have to agree with other comments on here that speedway is fast becoming a joke of a sport. The warning signs have been there for years, but still nothing has been done to bring it in line with other sports. It's dying a slow death and promotors are standing by and watching it die. It's no wonder tracks are closing down every season. I hope the management are going to offer a price reduction on the next home meeting for those who attended today. I doubt it very much and we the paying public will be forced to pay full price again for a club which I feel has shown very little ambition this year. Tonight has cost me in the region of £50.00 for 10 minutes of entertainment. Extortionate, in times where money is becoming increasingly important. Will I go again this season? Probably not! HGould
Cheap Anlas tyres all stored at Scunny. Probably getting near to the end of the season supply and they've been sat in a container baking in record heat all summer. It's not rocket science is it? Didn't they instruct when similar problems last season that riders should put talcum powder on the rim as the tyres were much harder to fit than Mitas.? I wonder if the BSPA will be brave enough to comment on why 14 tyres used to be available at Peterborough and not now. Edit from what Neil has just posted maybe it wasn`t 14 last season ? Hackett
The Anlas tyres have been shoddy since they were introduced. Seen many a rider putting photos and showing tyres absolutely shot to pieces. So is it the tyres or the material that is now used at EofE - remember Zagar moaning about the track shale on Eurosport early season. Safety is paramount if the tyres are not up to standard they should be binned completely. Nearly as farcical as the Intercontinental Final at Poole/

chrismorton
I'm guessing its something to do with how much they bladed off the track to make last week's pummeling go ahead...

SPEEDY69
The picture of basso's tyre to me shows they are of poor quality. The edge he was using was clearly worn but that doesn't mean a whole piece of the tyre should break away from the centre as it seems to have done. customhouseregular
I’m a tad lost over this. Are riders limited to the amount of tyres they can use?. Do the promoters/team managers allocate tyres?. I expected riders would carry spares in their vans.
