Last week we had a club setting fire to straw in the hope they could dry the track, minutes later the fire brigade arrive, result meeting off. Now this.

I like Peterborough as a club and have always enjoyed my trips to the EoES but you do wonder just how long the club can survive for.

Certainly hasn't been a.....

Goodyear.....

I will get me coat....

As its been said on updates the result stands im sure Lynn will have something to say about that as this meetjng was still in the balance

Klindt's 7 from 3  don't give him much to moan about. Could of done both his teams no favours in the end:blink:

Basso has just posted a pic on Facebook and his tyre isn’t just punctured it has a 6” gash in it.
looks extremely dangerous to me.

Either a faulty batch of tyres of the track has some sharp rubbish on it. Surely you would see any debris on the track causing a problem to this extent.

I thought I'd seen it all in almost 60 years of watching speedway, but "no tyres" available is a new one on me! Surely somebody's head has to roll over this monumental cock up? The fans that paid full price to watch this must be livid. Almost difficult to believe, but then this sport is renown for shooting itself in the foot. Can you wonder the general public can't take it seriously.

Teams get 9 tyres each at Peterborough (up till this year it was 14) because of the circuit shape and speed, 3 other tracks have the same allocation because they wear tyres more than the other U.K. tracks.

I was told they didn’t have enough tyres left to complete the meeting, most of the riders were wearing a tyre edge down per race.

Tyres are clearly not up to the job, we have had several instances of problems like this at Peterborough in recent years.
