Berwick v Scunthorpe 27/08/22 7pm

Recommended Posts

Berwick finish off their league campaign as they welcome the Scunthorpe Scorpion. For the Bandits nothing at stake apart from finishing with a home win to make it 2 home wins in a row. Scunthorpe on the other hand will be desperate for points as they are still in the mix for a playoff spot. With Bomber and Leon representing Great Britain in Euro Pairs in Denmark, Bandits have brought in Richard Lawson & Kasper Andersen as guests with Greg Blair replacing the injured Nathan Stoneman at reserve. Bandits also welcome back Jonas Knudsen whose visa problems are now sorted. Scorpions will be hoping that Ryan Douglas is fit after his painful crash at Poole on Wednesday night. Berwick to finish off with a 50-40 win.

Think Tero had a crash in Sweden the other night,if Scunthorpe get beat on Friday don't think they can make playoffs so just a match for getting the averages right for next season lol.

more so as in September, the averages go down to last 10 (qualifying) meetings although last Friday's 60-30 beating will not have helped. ;)

If Scunthorpe lose at Redcar 48-42 both teams would have 26pts a 7pt + win for Scunny at Berwick would get them a playoff spot.

If what you are saying is true scunny do not need to win at Berwick , both redcar and Scunthorpe will have the same points  but Scunthorpe would have the better race point to gain the 6th place.

Redcar still have an away fixture at Plymouth I thought they still had a home meeting left where they could only get a maximum 3pts

No Ryan Douglas for Ipswich last night, it remains to be seen if he takes his place in the Scunthorpe meeting tonight, and Tero Aarnio for that matter.

This meeting may need one or two more guests that there is already.

Lawson guests for Scunthorpe tonight with r/r for Aarnio

Is it definitely r/r for Tero, could use Summers as a  guest.

Scunny website saying they are using R/R for Tero tonight. Probably waiting to see how tonight goes before making a decision for tomorrow night's line-up.

Has Richard guested for every team in Championship this year?

I can think of Scunny, Redcar, Edinburgh, Berwick

Only six. But there are riders who've guested for seven. (I read an article about it in last Wednesday's Oxford programme.)
