But i would imagine some riders and fans will probably already be on their way around 3pm.
Panthers99
If Lynn loses to that side, then they don't deserve to make the play offs.... let's be honest.
IainB
All the dirt currently being bladed off the track while the ref watches on... riders not even changed into their racing gear! Can't hear what's being said over the PA as it ain't working down at the pits! Edited August 25, 2022 by iainb

All day long people tell you it's pouring with rain and has no chance, but still we dont listen. Then you get here and you're presented with this fiasco. At least buying tickets online makes it easy to do a charge back with the credit card company if they wont refund you.

Look at the effort Poole put in last week to get the Redcar match on, Danny Ford said on the podcast that if it had been a "normal" match (ie. they hadn't put so much effort into promoting it with the Council being present) then they would have probably just called it off... and that says a lot about the current day promoter! It's got everything to do with economics. At 12.00pm, torrential rain leaves the track under water and clearly impossible to get ready for racing. 2.00pm Is the deadline for postponing the meeting without full rent being paid 3.00pm The medical staff bill becomes due whether racing takes place or not 5.00pm Riders begin arriving at the stadium 6.00pm Meeting postponed, all riders have to be paid travel (and any other amounts due under their contract for flights etc).

The bit that baffles me is the same promotion calls Kings Lynn v Belle Sunday afternoon with a Monday evening start time with no rain falling on race day in KL the club owner owns the stadium no rent owed fast forward to Thursday the same promotion doesn’t call the meeting off but heavy rain throughout the day rent needs to be paid and other expenses- why was Mondays called off well in advance but not tonight’s ? I assume its partly down to availability of Showground to rearrange and also that part rent still needs to be paid.

Very true - meeting now under way hopefully everyone stays safe if track is dodgy and it’s a good meeting for everyone.

That would be a sure-fire way to alienate fans when a meeting that should have been postponed at midday wasn’t postponed until 6pm because of your artificial rule. As for today, I expected the meeting to be off early in the day but it’s no longer my decision! Edited August 25, 2022 by NeilWatson

Panthers99
Other than Basso, Harris and maybe Jenkins as 8, IF we run, I hope none of the others ride for the club again, absolutely shambolic. TTT
Need 5 new riders next year. No jobs given on loyalty. We need to be looking at riders like Ryan Douglas for 2023.

Jaizer
Basso on 13 from 5, beaten Harris twice and Harris on 5 from 4 but Harris got the TS ride. Strange decision that
