I'd love to see a heat 19 with the top 2 riders from the home team against the top rider from both away teams too. Just for something different and to provide a finale to the evenings. Worth trying something new!

cyclone
Will it now be appropriate to still run the 3-legged Jubilee Final, given the sad circumstances?
Noelinho
Just call it the summer trophy again if that's a problem.
Neila
Rename it the Xmas trophy run on Xmas eve boxing day and Sunday between!! As due to the queen's sad passing 2 weeks of speedway lost and all other finals/play offs still to run, lots of proper bad weather due in the next few weeks, maybe BSPA or whatever they are called these days, will want the season not yo complete as they get a £3000 fine for in complete fixtures as happened in 2018 to the treble winning comets H18tory

Very valid point personally I think this should be put on hold.
Steve Shovlar
Of course it should be run in honour of Her Majesty.

This was the format used circa 1990 in the National Series. Was it not the the case that the Riders Championship had to be moved to a Wed because of riders unavailability at the Weekend.Originally it was to be a Sat.? lucifer sam
I would say rename the final from the Jubilee League to the Queen Elizabeth Trophy. It was named after her all along, really, but Jubilee isn't quite the appropriate name any longer.

It should never have changed from the Championship Trophy & should be ridden as the first Tournament/Trophy of the season.

topsoil
Name a trophy after speedway royalty, the Neil Street Trophy. Far more appropriate than a Jubilee Cup.

Don't think there's a panic, just a desire to see finals raced in the summer in good weather with good crowds. Compared to the more likely league / cup / trophy finals all being raced at the end of October.
