Catalan
3 legs over the course of 1 week hopefully.
Steve Shovlar
Three teams in each leg. For example: The heats go Poole v Glasgow, Poole v Leicester, Glasgow v Leicester, and so on….
Steve Shovlar
Possibly 6 man teams?

That was the original plan, so I guess so. 18 heats so they get 4 rides each? I'd love to see a heat 19 with the top 2 riders from the home team against the top rider from both away teams too. Just for something different and to provide a finale to the evenings.
SteveLyric2
Unofficially from Middlo on Piratecast live last night, 6-man teams over 18 heat format for each of 3 legs. Final regs still awaited as are the dates to be discussed and agreed by the 3 clubs involved.

They will need to be factoring in Bomber's availability... As soon as he informs them of his schedule they will release dates... Three teams to represent... And as an added bonus he will be able to jump across the podium to get three medals as they get presented...

Lenny Lion
Just now, Fromafar said: Do Clubs not have alternative night for cancellations etc. Leicester won’t run mid week unless there are cancellations or they run out of Saturdays. The financial implications due to low crowds of running on any other day then Saturday or Sunday makes it not worth opening the gates. Steve Shovlar
Never understand why some clubs think riding a meeting in a weekday is bad for business. Poole run midweek for their whole existence and get very good crowds. I suggest Glasgow Friday, with the riders coming down to Leicester for the Saturday night, then onto Poole for a Sunday 4pm finale. That way fans from Leicester could be home by 10 pm and Glasgow fans, well it’s a long way regardless! 6 man teams a very sensible move. With each clubs number 7 available to ride incase of injury replacement and paid a flat fee.

I think the number 6 would be nominated as the reserve - able to take his own programmed rides and any others as a reserve change at TM's discretion

If Poole can do Sunday afternoons, then the CLRC should have been run on one rather than a Wednesday night. 6 men teams with a reserve getting two rides in separate reserve races which don't count to the meeting total. This was the format used circa 1990 in the National Series.

When GI stopped greyhounds they laid off the majority of staff, many of whom have now got other hospitality/ security/H&S jobs elsewhere especially at weekends in clubs and hotels etc.
