Trying to put a 'Newcastleish' team together of riders who don't look like they're going to get a CL team place in 2023 just for fun... Obviously Danny King has a place at Redcar, it's difficult finding a number 1 who realistically will be riding in the UK next year who doesn't already have a team spot. Shame we could have had a decent looking side... Although if Granty was still in charge it would've been at least 5 points lower than this I'm sure.

1 Danny King 8.05
2 Max Clegg 5.23
3 James Wright 5.51
4 Matthew Wethers 6.47
5 Tero Aarnio 7.55
6 Paul Starke 5.11
7 Archie Freeman 2.00
    39.92

Another notable name is Ashley Morris, who doesn't have a team either...

Sorry just realized that James is at Birmingham too... But yous get my point.

My efforts at a "realistic" Newcastle team for 23. Could also swap Batchelor & Thompson for Aarnio & Ashley Morris.

Newcastle
Troy Batchelor 7.29
Matthew Wethers 6.47
Broc Nicol 5.95
Dillon Ruml 5.47
Max Clegg 5.23
Dan Thompson 5.09
Connor Bailey 4.32
Total 39.82

Paul Starke has signed for Plymouth.

Thank god he never named him in his fantasy team then.

Watching the Diamonds at Armadale in 2010 & being reminded of how good Bach & Larsen were!

Made me remember how many great Danes the Diamonds had over the Years. What would be their strongest Danish 7?

1. Ole Olsen
2. Kenni Larsen
3. Bjarne Pedersen
4. Kenneth Bjerre
5. Nicki Pedersen
6. Rene Bach
7. Jesper Olsen

Also couple of naff ones Rune knudson lasse bjerre

Lasse wasn't that bad

Don't forget Anders Andersen

One of my personal favourites from my little over a decade of watching the Diamonds was Claes Nedermark, he just seemed to disappear off the face of the earth in the end though :( Other riders I'll always remember include Derek Sneddon, Ludvig Lindgren, Stuart Robson, Max Clegg, Matty Wethers and Rene Bach (I could list many more)... All Diamonds legends in my eyes, but I didn't get to see the Olsen/Pedersen etc days
