I understand SGP3 will be taking place on Friday night before the Wrocław GP. It is shown on Discovery+ as being broadcasted.

Supposedly 2 semi final meetings on the Thursday too… but the ‘new era of speedway’ doesn’t do communication so who knows if that’s happening and who’s riding.

Yes it is on Discovery + but currently the schedules are not showing it as live-( 3pm UK time start). Coverage is "delayed live at 6pm to 9pm.

On Saturday GP qualifying is also on Discovery + at 11.55am and actual GP is as always on Eurosport 2 - coverage starts 5.30pm

There is confusion ( in my mind) regarding the SGP 3 final start time as the official notification says 4pm local time, whereas Eurosport 1 Poland are saying on their schedule they are showing live at 1900 local( which is the same time as it`s on Discovery + over here). As i am in Wroclaw for next weekend it`s important that i clarify the time so i have asked and will post reply.

But who would really go to see the kids on their 250cc bikes anyway - no many, that's for sure. How many watched it last year? So does this, just because it is now called SGP3, really need worldwide live TV coverage ?

It`s not really worldwide TV coverage is it if it`s  on Discovery + ? Yes Eurosport in Poland are showing it and good on them. I think it`s brilliant that DSE are bringing it more into the limelight- these after all are the stars of the future. Last season on the internet we were able to see what an amazing talent Oskar Paluch was at 15 and no doubt this season we will say how good Brian Andersen`s son Mikkel is.

I have just had confirmation that final is indeed at 4pm and the TV schedules are incorrect or they are showing " delayed live"

Indeed. One year (2012?) I went to the Danish GP at Parken and there was an 85cc Denmark v Sweden test match at Slangerup less than an hour away in the morning. Excluding parents attendance about 12.

I want to watch the potential future stars, young as they are.  Where is the GB up to promoting 250 racing?

I watching qualifying for MotoGP/2;3 and scheduled for this afternoon is Moto-e, and Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup which is the youngsters.
DORNA see the need to move forward, apart from what I said above, they are introducing next year a shorter Moto GP race for Saturday afternoon, which will give points to winners.    The new promotors of F1 started a new short race on the Saturday last year at certain tracks and going with it this year.

Promoting the 250 class is poor in the uk . Problem is in my opinion when most of the boys get on one at 12 or 13 they progress quite quickly as they are simple to ride so when the get to 14 they are instantly pressured to get on a 500 as it's  not long before they can ride National league. This inevitably reduces the number in the class age criteria should be 15 to ride a 500 and 16 for national league.

Personally don't agree at youth level we are way off the European lads who all stay 250 a year longer than we have to the 15 year old limit is just designed to bring in the next batch of riders early to fill gaps in the system created by teams wanting the next perceived wonder kid .

On the off chance someone has a couple of spare tickets - 2 British based riders are looking for tickets for this. Please DM if you can help. (They're aware they'll need to do a name change on the ticket)
