To be fair they did post it on Twitter:

I fail to see how it was a fabulous night for British Speedway though, it was a fabulous night for British Riders.

... and have you seen the results from the European pairs championships last night? Literally, have you seen them, can't find them anywhere.

Iain, that's ok putting it on twitter but not everyone wants to join there, that's why I thought that the offical website would have it. At least they have a report on SpeedwayGB now and those not going on twitter may have liked the scores as well, maybe they are waiting to post the GP score when they do the Euro pairs scores...

So Dan does it again, absolutely superb performance, I couldn't be more chuffed for him especially with the constant progress that he's made since his horrific injuries. For a while now I've been thinking that there could be something special about him and Robert as well, and want them both to have equally good careers.

Working on the assumption that the data next to their names at the starting gate is their actual heart rate, it was noticeable last night in the Final that Dan's rate was much lower than the others.  Super cool.

Two brilliant meetings, though very different,  from Wroclaw over the last two nights. Super entertainment. More of the double act again guys please. Not forgetting some brilliant rides from Tai as well.

What can you say? Absolutely incredible! And he seems such a nice kid...

You'd better get to the drug store Chunky and  get those longevity pills so that you last through next season and witness the new World Champion 2023 or maybe you can stretch it out till 2024 just in case he doesn't quite make it next year, good luck  ;)

Hey, anyone else had this thought yet? Bewley could be a contender for Sports Personality of the Year? What's more, he actually has a personality!

I don’t think so. The shortlist has been reduced to six in recent years, which I’d say provides a challenge to minority sports.

I would also suggest at least one person on the shortlist will (rightly) be a woman (although they are sadly still often overlooked for this award - it’s still dominated by men’s sport unless something exceptional happens), and I’d be surprised if there isn’t someone from para sport. Assuming they are taken by different people (and given the women’s football team are almost certain to be represented there, I think it’s a reasonable assumption), that suggests only four spots left.

Jonathan Rea only made the shortlist once during his spell of domination on World Superbikes. Jamie Chadwick has dominated W Series this year, and I think she’d be more likely to make the shortlist than Dan Bewley on account of this being her third year winning the title. If Dan wins the last three rounds and takes the title, different story, but that’s a tall order.

Short of it is, I think you either need to be the current champion in your sport, or a very average England men’s footballer (I’m not going to try to justify Raheem Sterling making the list in previous years) to make the shortlist.

I’d like to see the BBC return to a shortlist of ten and give minority sports a bigger profile, but no idea if that will happen. Maybe we just need to get Phil Lanning on the shortlisting panel…

not quite, as Denmark won, Czech came second, and GB only sixth, ahead of Norway.

Odd that. I read the results on Sportowefacty. Perhaps they amended it later. Sorry for mis-information.

Not such a good result from the British Speedway site, who couldn't even be bothered to put the result on the site last night, let alone a short report. It shows how disinterested the BSPL are in the World Championship and British Riders riding in it.

I bet Eurosport and Discovery are really pleased with the BSPL attitude to spreading the word in their quest to take speedway wider horizons.

If that is the standard to judge by then Discovery Sports Events will have a much bigger problem with the attitude of Discovery Sports Events.

Discovery did not even put a story on the official website until this morning.  Even just the scores were not put on it until long after the meeting finished, if not this morning too.  Looking at the official site during a round, the only way you would know the meeting is taking place is the countdown being at zero.  Assuming it does not automatically start counting down the next round.  When BSI ran it, the site had live scores during the meeting, but Discovery only do that on their app.

And that app is only a phone app.  I did not have a scorecard but was make notes on my iPad as I followed it last night (before remembering running scores had no baring on the overall championship!) and needed to use the app to check back on scores.  Because it is designed for phones it wasted most of the screen and could only fit 9 riders and 4 heats on the screen at a time.  Even when viewed on the phone the design is just too much wasted space and could easily show 8 heats and possible all he riders.

This is a truly awful way of spreading the sport, just a badly designed app.  A web site should come first as it can be accessed on any device, will easily adapts to suit them all, and will be found by anyone searching Google or whatever to find out more about speedway.  Which is where the new horizons will be found.  Anyone who had just caught it on TV and wanted to know more will be look at their web site, not on an app they do not have, and even many speedway fans will not have bothered to install. But that app is the only thing Discovery update on a Saturday evening.

I have no idea who would be looking on the British Speedway site instead of the official one to find out about a Grand Prix.  But why should the BSPL be expected to do what even the promoters of the series cannot be bothered with?

Good performances from all the British lads, well done to Dan and Robert for getting on the podium.

Tom Brennan probably the next in line to make it.

Flint is progressing but still a bit behind Brennan,Jason Edwards is making progress, but could be little while yet for more IMO.Like the look of Luke Harrison and Ace Pijper.

Flint is ahead of Brennan once you account for the two year age difference.

That’s your opinion, but whose to say what stage Flint will be at in 2 years time.I’ve  seen plenty come and go without reaching their potential throughout the years.

No . It is based on facts as evidenced by averages.

I wanted to give it a couple of days just to wait and see, so here goes...

After every GP, there are always a bunch of posters who come on here whining about the stupid points system, and how it's ridiculous that a rider can squeeze into the semis, yet come away with the most points.

I see now, that only applies to non-British winners, 'cos NOBODY has said that since Dan won!!!

I know bewley won and congratulations to him but I still prefer the old points system but then again I prefer the old one off world finals

Fine.If that’s your logic.!

Rider A scores more points than rider B => rider A is probably better than rider B

That's what I regard as as logic. I'd love to know what passes for logic in your world.

PS Flint world under 21 debut aged 19, Brennan aged 21.

Brennan broken thigh and lung injuries might have something to do with it.I’ll leave it at that.

I acknowledge Brennan missed half a season and that didn't help his progress. But if you compare Brennan's scores BEFORE his injury in 2019 they do not compare favourably with Flint's in 2021.
