Pretty sure his chain coming off was his on doing to as he leaned on Fricke,,, as that is when it seemed to come off,,,,,

As for Cols comment about not being breath taking,,,,, I'm pretty sure any Ipswich fan would give an arm and leg to Watch speedway like that every week,,,, I thought it was pretty awesome with that speed and noise and watching riders swapping lines for fun.Credit to Tungate,,, he tried his best and raced the track as its meant to be raced,,,,

It was Wright he was leaning on, not Fricke.

Why do you think I have a season ticket for Belle Vue rather than one of the clubs closer to home?  It's the racing at that track rather than any allegiance with the Aces.

So Ipswich have strengthened their team and get 12 less than previous visit

Weren't Belle Vue operating R/R for Fricke on Ipswich's previous visit?

Really doesn’t matter when you can blow everyone away at home does it. Nobody is beating them over two legs.

Belle Vue / Sheffield for what would been an aggregate bonus in the A fixture would have been close.

Surprised no one’s mentioned bin gate. Doyle getting abused by a drunk all night and after heat 15 chucked a bin at him lol

75 mile drive home, usually with various lane closures on the M6 limiting speed to 40-50, I'm out the stadium as soon as they have crossed the line in heat 15!  Maybe for the BHM 12:00 start fixture I'll go watch the after match interviews assuming I'm allowed in the suite.

Yes. Anyone can go in the craven suite to watch the press conference. Usually a good atmosphere in there

Yeah. Fricke is pretty special and calculated with his passing. He just follows them while having a nibble on inside. Then on outside before he always makes his move lap 3. He watches what they do, always thinking how he will pass them in a few laps time

Fricke will never earn easier money.Class act and rides with his head.

The thing with the Aces,,, they can batter teams at home and still have good racing as long as the opponents make the gate,, which ipswich did many times.  Maybe its better for away teams to do what Fricke does,,,, stalks for a few laps then makes a pass

Spot on..

Certainly the best of both worlds..

Without going "all our yesterdays" I remember a fair few 50-28's at Hyde Rd over 10 years or so, with Mauger, Collins and Morton in particular, providing the "worth the admission money alone" rides, even though the opposition got hammered..

Continued the rubbish performance to the end then ;)

Even with the big scores the racing has been good in all the meetings. When it comes to play off time its a different ball game, all or nothing and the pressure is really on, in the past injuries have conspired against us but can we get the monkey off our back this season if we get to the final? Then league performances count for nothing so i for one wont be counting any chickens. Without doubt Ipswich and Sheffield will be far better come play off time, all to play for.

Plus the damper colder nights will being grippier tracks...

Many of the races I have seen either live or on TV this year have seen the opposition in front down the back straight, lap one, only to get picked off later in the race .

When the track is a bit more "inside line, plenty of grip" it might not be so easy to pass..

The track staff have certainly nailed the track prep for "summer nights" which sometimes proves the most difficult to achieve when you look around all the tracks...

Play offs will be a lot closer for me given the change in track, and obviously, no one knows who will have Bomber in their team ..:D

The meeting against Kings Lynn was a drubbing but the racing on the most part was excellent with Pickering leading the charge for the away side. To be honest most of the PL racing on Eurosport has been far better than the SGP offering. "Gate and gone"

Aces certainly have got setup dialled in for these drier slicker conditions which provides great racing but they will have to sharpen their gating for play offs.
People saying huge home advantage, for years there has been no home advantage as away teams like riding the NSS so much.
If Ipswich come in playoffs it will be much closer.

I think the Belle Vue team have found set ups that give them top end speed, but makes it a little harder to get out of the gate. Hence the first lap chase. No team is strong enough to trouble them at home this season, it depends on the young German( he is gonna be a good one ) and Jyes away points but the rest can score at most places with maybe one or two struggling at Monmore.

Even Lemo won’t get this one wrong, this year.

I think the big difference this year is not having the Worralls in the team. Both are reasonable riders but if they missed the gate at the  nss they would never pass anybody.

This year they have 7 riders who can all ride the track and overtake.

100% imo had some decent rides but on the whole never really looked comfortable at nss.

Track will be very different come September so might could be very different results
