You can never tell how good or bad a speedway meeting will be regardless of the riders taking part. The BSPA are only interested in taking in the cash. That’s why they probably chose Oxford given there crowd levels.

As the meeting was awarded  before the season started how did they know Oxford would get a healthy following.

Coz they only had vegetables & salads on the food van menu!

Apart from the Caesar salad coz Gladiators wouldn't allow it !

congratulations on Oxford getting awarded this but, again, we do have an NSS with no difficulty accommodating the number of people expected, maybe 3/4k?

Would 3/4k attend with the revised line up though? Clever to have it at Oxford when have to get tickets on advance.

That’s a bit of weird thing to say. The meeting hasn’t sold out, so either 1) Oxford could accommodate that number of people or 2) the number expected isn’t that high.

The NSS is a great venue with arguably the best race track not just in the UK but the world of speedway.

Major events tho need to go around different tracks as much as possible as the events are held under British Speedway not NSS speedway.

The only 'home' venue for an event should be for the British Final & Grand Prix.

Think you've totally missed the point.

This Fixture traditionally night b4 SGP at Cardiff.

Was previously at Somerset who had a 4000 crowd in 2019.

Oxford now most suitable with decent capacity adjacent to M4 link to South Wales.

What has happened with the pairs only reflects the current state of G.B. speedway it's in dire straights & nobody on the BSP? seems to realise.   Heads in the sand!

Yes it hadn't been for the advance tickets sold before the line ups and subsequent amended line ups had been announced the BSpA (deliberate small p as they do little  real promoting) may have taken a financial hit which may (???)  have brought them to their senses.

Leicester             chose 2 of top 3

Edinburgh            1 & 2  now injured or carrying knocks

Glasgow               1 & 3 injured, 2 at GP/GP2 practice

Scunthorpe           1 & 2 injured, 3 having minor operation

Birmingham          1, 4 & 5 injured, 2 suspended(taking sabbatical)

Poole                      chose 2 of top 3

Plymouth               less said the better :D

Berwick                  chose 1 & 2 although 3 at GP practice

Oxford                    chose 1 & 3, 2 who knows where :D

Redcar                    chose 1 & 3, 2 injured

Open your eyes people. If League/KO meetings would missing riders be present??????

U cud say that about club's as well coz u can buy advance tickets for any meeting. Say Poole vs Birmingham or Poole vs Plymouth then seen the line ups of the away team's & think u've been robbed.

It's speedway, pay yer money takes yer chance.

Can't help riders being injured, banned?? or the curse of GP practice.

Ben Basso is currently number two in the Glasgow averages with Ulle Ostergaard just ahead of Tom Brennan in third place.
