You can't help riders getting injured in a sport like this tho and there's not enough riders sitting on the sidelines waiting for the phone to ring...

Totally agree....just can't see the point in Friday's meeting....nothing at stake etc....

Nice day out in a lovely part of the country may be ?

Well it's due to be sunny day of 25c, so def a beach day if that helps! I still say Birmingham should get as many Leicester riders to guest as possible. Only team to win at Poole this season so far.

When AFC Bournemouth go to Manchester City at the start of the new Premier league season, what is the point? Everyone knows the result is a foregone conclusion so why bother travelling and wasting fuel? Just hand Man City the three points and move on?

Sport doesn’t work like that and Brum need to put together a team of guests that ride Wimborne Road well and turn up competitive.

You will most likely find that Worall's/Morris and Howarth's averages are all way too high to use as guests .....

Besides...it was probably more of an off night for Poole than a great performance by Leicester ? can't see Dan thompson producing that kind of score again ?

I can't see any comparison at all speedway/football ?

6 guests does more damage to an already failing sport IMO !

Guests is really going to be an issue on Friday night. We have chosen to run r/r for basso as no one suitable. 4 sides already riding, Plymouth have no fit heat leaders to choose from, Leicester's are all too high. Leaves very few options

Yeah, just looking at averages and availability it is difficult. Not sure who do r/r for but if everyone was a guest apart from Sedge of course, could be:

1. Etheridge or Mountain (Vissing)

2. Batch (Auty)

3.  Dillon Ruml - guess he is available with USA out now (Morris)

4. Dan Thompson (Nielsen)

Actually Dan and Dillon fit for both Morris and Nielsen, do whichever way round you want!

5. Heeps (Shanes)

6. Joe Thompson or Ben Morley - only Plymouth rider available! (Pearson).

It is possible but not many options for each position so would need riders not turning it down!

Prob r/r for Vissing?

James Wright ?  Paul Starke ?

Don't think it matters who rides....B'ham will be better off keeping costs down and use the cheapest options !

At the end of the day, there won't be many b'ham fans there, so why make it 'competitive'  just to please Poole fans ?

Can't remember a season like it for number of guests at every meeting. Must be some kind of record.

Ruml at least is value for money, very entertaining.

There is no comparison. Will Bournemouth be fielding a load of players from other clubs? Very silly comment methinks lol

Could have Starke for Vissing, but they may do r/r for him, so everyone can take a ride.

The argument was not to fun as the meeting would not be competitive. Not about guests which is a completely separate argument. The meeting must go ahead regardless of the guests argument.

I seem to remember, many moons ago when Tony R was riding for the Pirates at an Oxford meeting, he didn't turn up as he was ill. Poole got fined for tracking an under strength team. A meeting incidentally that we won.

Should be the ONLY way to watch - be there, pay the entrance money. That used to be the way to do it. Money going to the promotion.

Can’t make it? Stream it. Extra money going to the promotion. Large chunk of income being missed out on by Brum promotion.
