Poole Pirates Vs Plymouth Gladiators 22 June

Recommended Posts

The Pirates welcome the Gladiators to Wimborne Road this coming Wednesday with revenge on thier minds after the 16 point drubbing  down at the Coluesium back in May.

This will be a tough encounter and if the Gladiators have Chris Harris guesting  then the meeting could go down to the wire.

My view is the reserves and second strings will need to come to the party and I believe this where the Pirates have the upper hand.

Weather looks good so bring on the action.

Thoughts?

Hopefully if available howarth who scored 11 on his last visit with Leicester and meeting before scored 12 as guest for Newcastle at number one.

if not Pickering who scored 7 on his last visit.

I'm sure that Garry May will be eager to use a Leicester rider if he can as they have added interest in doing what they can against poole to ensure Leicester have top spot and picks when it comes to play offs.

It is Kyle Howarth ,

As predicted track specialist (this season at least) Howarth guests.

The reserve match-ups will be interesting with Ablitt up against his best mate McGurk.

Hopefully Danny King has his machinery sorted out now after his 15 points max in the heats at Mildenhall yesterday - even though Richard Lawson won the Final!!

Wednesday is the last meeting before the averages are sorted for July with likely Steve Worrall going to Number 1 for the Pirates

Without being a kill joy, I personally think Poole will win this with ease. I'd love to see us get something at Wimborne Road but with McGurk, Morley and Bowtell we'll be lucky to get 5 points based on recent form. I'd love to be wrong but I'd say Poole by at least 10, probably more like 54-36.

Ben Barker will do better than last time in the cup. He has always been good at Poole and that was an off night for him. Morley guested for Leicester a couple of weeks ago and beat Drew in reserve race. But hot day on Weds so track will be a lot different to the Leicester meeting!

So I would say Poole by 8 but closer if the danes have a good night.

interesting fact I gleaned from the Plymouth website so it must be true

They claim they are the only side to score over 40 points in every league match....so far! (no doubt some stastician can clarify)

I'd think if they leave Wimborne Road with that record intact they will be mighty pleased.

50-40 maybe?

Barker on gas and air after a fall at Peterborough. Not likely to be riding.

I am missing this one due to seeing Elton John on his farewell tour at Bristol. I am going to order the stream. Is it available to watch after the event?

Think you can rewind it up to midnight and watch it like that? @SpeedwayPortal
