phillipsr
Well done Dan and Tom and good to see Harris miss out after everything that was said earlier on in the year
BV66
Great result for the Belle Vue fans, delighted for young Tom Brennan finishing second, track as usual giving great racing. Also good to see Craig Cook having some good rides again. Kelvin Tatum for a presenter has got to stop saying Um & Ah every few words, I thought all TV presenters were taught not to do it. What do you reckon the average age of the crowd was. Life Insurance Companies should sponsor Speedway.
SharpenRake
Congratulations to Dan Bewley and well done to Tom Brennan and Craig Cook. Impressed by Cookie seeing it was his first competitive meeting since 21 August when he was injured at Redcar after ending up in the fence after a mistake from Charles Wright.

What do you reckon the average age of the crowd was. Life Insurance Companies should sponsor Speedway. Well I am 55 today and was "under average" I would have said... Racing wasnt quite always "out of the top drawer" but still very good.. Bewley's pass of King, Howarth's ride round the boards, and Cookie diving across turn 4 in the Final were truly spectacular moments.. Speaking with several in the crowd quite a few mentioned "having to pay twice" was something they resented, but obviously went anyway, so maybe there were also a few who decided not to "pay again" and stayed away? I didnt attend the first one so it didnt impact me but I must admit I may have baulked at paying again.. Scotty seemed to be having words with Godfrey after his last ride, the one he stopped in, and didnt seem too pleased, was there another tyre issue? All in all, another cracking Speedway meeting at the NSS, great to see Dan triumph as clearly head and shoulders above everyone else in the 20 heats of qualifying, and also great to see young Tom get second as it shows real progression for the lad, and definitely one for the future.. And a word for a favourite of mine (Cookie), brilliant to see him back to something like his best... 3
YerRopes
Congratulations to Dan, thoroughly deserved. Good performances from Tom, Connor and Leon too, it's good to see the younger riders continuing to improve. Craig Cook back to his best as well.

Many have used belts in the past. It is a more efficient drive train when it is correctly aligned. However there is little or no warning prior to a failure. The belts do not stretch & show very little signs of wear. I know Simon Wigg used them on the long track with great success but he did use a new belt for each race

Racin Jason 72
Does anyone know if Tai and Robert were asked to take part in the British final. im sure I read last year that Robert wasn’t even asked if he wished to ride in his national championship
Bagpuss
Other than the races that Bewley was in I really enjoyed that, some proper close racing with no quarter asked or given. Can't wait to see a GP round there, what a track it is. Well done to Bewley but he was head and shoulders above the rest and bar conking out in the final it was never in doubt. Massive congrats to Brennan too who is a wonderful prospect.

Put a thousand on the gate minimum I would say... Watching Woffy, Lambert and Bewley racing for the No1 GB rider position would be great to see..

If they said no or didn't ask then it looks pretty sad.. Woffy did say he had a lovely house in Poland and Aussie, and that one had been empty for 2 years and he was looking forward to getting back there for a break from speedway . Think we are small fry now. He's made his money, and still making it. Lambert i don't know... Edited September 18, 2022 by Bald Bloke

Maybe money another reason some riders don't want to race in British final, I do know Dan Bewley will ride a motorbike everyday of the week if he could

Steve Shovlar
Had no idea this was on until I saw a post on Twitter congratulating Bewley. I just watched it on catchup and Bewley was head and shoulders above everyone else. Congrats to him. With a Polish bike he is so fast compared to the rest. Just goes to show the level that British youngsters have to get to, to compete at the top level. A shame the top three were all “Belle Vue” riders. Home advantage helping them get there. Not that Bewley needed it. Well done to Danny King making the final on what were clearly slower bikes than anyone else. A decent meeting. Not great not bad. A shame the crowd was not great. Lots of empty seats in the grandstand when the weather is dry and OK on a Sunday afternoon. Where was Lambert? where was Woffinden?
