Glasgow v Scunthorpe 12th June 2023

Recommended Posts

I see Scunthorpe have listed Justin Sedgeman as a guest for this fixture which mean he will have raced as a guest in the last 3 CL level meetings at Glasgow.

No wonder new fans get confused when a rider appears for three different teams, none of which are his own.

Presumably as Edinburgh was a Saturday this being a Sunday fulfils the 8 day rule? Think needs looked at and should perhaps just be successive meetings at a track imo

Or perhaps a rider can only guest at a track once in a season and only for every other club once in the season?

I'm pretty sure the like of Bomber Harris, Kyle Howarth, Tom Brennan to name but three know some tracks as intimately as they know their home track.

Yup, especially since Harris now missing another Berwick meeting on Saturday!!! Think this season has thrown the guest rules into focus with the Plymouth/ Newcastle/ Birmingham situation. Not having a go at clubs or riders making the most of it but it's a bit of a farce

Should be interesting to see if Bomber is selected to ride for GB against the RoW at Ashfield. As its a Saturday evening and no more than a friendly challenge surely Berwick should have priority on him?

Well that is the time given on the British Speedway website.

But since there is no mention as yet on the host team's website who knows?

It's advertised on their Facebook & Twitter 3pm start. Tickets went on sale today £22 , £24 if you want a seat in the stand. So I would expect it will be on the website  soon.

It be nice to know who's riding. Tai's pictured in the ad so you'd like to think he's confirmed

League takes precedence over this meeting right?

Be nice to know the Rest of World Team before buying tickets.
