Like you say dominant... they must be wondering where it's all going wrong at senior level

It’s hardly going wrong at Senior level,Zmarzlik twice world Champion,Poles done well in World Team Cup for its last few seasons so they changed the format to try to even things up.The last 2 SON they were finalists,Janowski falling in final probably cost them the win!.Will certainly be an interesting Final this year.May the best Team win.!

Find it hard not to laugh when you consider there are more overseas/foreign riders competing in the British Leagues than there are are actual Brits.

Really say something about the decline of British Speedway and the power of foreign cash.

Yeah, but if you ain't first you may as well be last. Their record at senior team level wasn't that great outside of Poland even before the format was changed and only 4 World Individual champions ever! Not great with all those junior championships under their belt. With the amount of money that is pumped into the sport in Poland you'd think somebody would be asking questions. What they have undoubtedly done well at is generating enough home grown talent to make their Leagues sustainable

Janowski giving up Ekstraliga isn't going to happen, maybe moving away from Wroclaw would.  He rides Elitserin every year and spent much longer in British leagues than his contemporaries - several years at Kings Lynn, Swindon & Poole.

Did Zmarzlik ever complete a heat in his brief Brummies stint? Piotr Pawlicki did one season with Wolves. Dudek has never ridden here.

Janowski (2.293) and Dudek (2.351) average more in Ekstrloga than Kubera (2.094) and don't have their pick of heats unlike Kubera does being regularly at the farcical #8. Drabik's average has plummeted to 19th after getting an early GP Wildcard for topping the averages back then.

Interestingly Lambert is considerably higher the the Ekstraliga averages (9th) than Woffinden (17th).

I almost daren't ask the question... but at the risk of upsetting R&R, is there any reason why the final is not being held over 2 days?

The Poles wouldn't want to disrupt their Sundays ;)

You won’t upset me because i have had many daft questions this week and yours is up there with the daftest.

The last comp we  had different venues for semi’s(Daugavpils ) and the final in Belle Vue.

This is a new concept 2 semi’s  and the new U21 Son plus the final all in one place- think they don’t want overkill of 2 senior finals and who can blame them !!!

Of course he's not, most unlikely just like his chances of becoming World Champion. He seems far too laid back whenever i see him interviewed or in the pits

The Poles win in Poland by using oversized engines etc, bikes being wheeled out of the pits and replaced with compliant engines towards the end of meetings.  It's well known amongst the Team GB mechanics but nothing is done about it.

You win the most ridiculous post of the week so far hands down.

Hi to all. I have question to guys from GB,did GB menager said anything about tactics in semi final? I mean are Brits going to rotate and all 3 riders will ride 4 times?

Btw. watch out on Palovaara tonight,he is in great form last few weeks.

I'm not saying it happens worldwide but in their own back yard it does and I've had that first hand from a Team GB mechanic who highlighted it at the time to Armando Castagna who said he could do nothing about it.

While it’s a given that advantages are sort by all riders of all nations, over sized engines especially in Poland isn’t one of them and especially at FIM level, another reason is a tuner like kowalski or gravesen ain’t going to risk his business by cheating in a school boy way and then even if they were stupid enough to do that and over sized engine doesn’t automatically  mean a faster bike in speedway

Certainly all 3 will get rides- not sure it`s a given on 4 each- neither Poland or the Aussies did that.
