you have two hopes of getting in @ northside , bob hope and ,well you know the other one !

should have sorted it out years ago when they  got wind of it . looks like its the perfect get out clause to walk away from a sport thats outgrown itself in the uk .also , who pays the loan fees for these riders  , northside or ed,bra ?

looks like ed,bra could be handing their assets back to the bspa or whoever they are called and the ed,bra promotion have shot themselves in the foot by not extracting ones finger !

if you think several ed,bra fans travelling down each week will cover the wage bill , you are living in the past .just my own thoughts of course .

daytime operating only @ horthside cos there is no lecy on site .  anyone got k20 handy ?

They have been trying for years to secure land or a different venue. You've have to be joking if you think they will want anything to do with Northside. They will leave what’s left of Workington fans to sort that out.( not many judging by their Championship winning season).

Yes Ingleston Showground, that got knocked back.

It would have been ideal vey close links to the M8 and M9 Edinburgh city bypass for the A1 , Edinburgh Airport right next door and the trams a stones throw away for the City Centre.

Don’t think the City Council were overly keen on the idea from what I vaguely recall was said at the time , Shame as it is in a cracking location for all transport links.

Don’t think the council owned the land.Shame as there was plenty of space and would have been ideal

Planes landing all day n night fine, 4 bikes for 90 minutes once a week no that's just too much. Good old council logic

Agree but if there’s no problem councils tend to create one it’s what they do best.

Until there is an official statement I’m still holding on to the smallest bit of hope.

And rightly so If there is any Promotion that can pull a rabbit out the hat it is the Edinburgh Promotion.

I would be astonished if they haven’t even explored the option of using Ashfield If everything else has been exhausted at least it buy’s them some leeway on timescale.

I’d happily go along, pay and support the promotion if they do that, but it does seem very unlikely. It’s just too far to get enough fans to travel regularly, before you take anything else into account.

I’d be astonished if they went down that route.

Discussed this on Friday and I think one thing that would make this tricky is the Friday night thing. We’d have to find another afternoon/evening which might prevent a move back to Fridays when a permanent home is hopefully found.

That's going to be an issue now anyway. Look like missing 23 which makes I believe Scunthorpe then Glasgow the Friday priority tracks. If Oxford then say they want to try Fridays next season then when (hopefully) Edinburgh come back then Friday may not be an option.

Feels a bit like Glasgow in 97, we had to go with Sundays as lost Friday's when missed the 96 season. And as my old man's forever telling me Friday was our night they stole it

I would have thought the continuity would have been priority and worry about the Friday night issue when the time comes.

The other thing that might be a consideration is that we may move up which has been rumoured which means we would have to change to a Monday and/or Thursday although this has been rumoured before.

Are there some tracks where a Friday wouldn’t suit? Could Friday be a Championship race night across the league?
