stu219
Why no Riss in heat 15? mistake I feel and as suspected Paul Starke being out has cost us points Edited May 16, 2022 by stu219

kevin bass
Hume scored pretty much what Starke would of got to be fair, problem lies when King, Riss and Batch only score 5 each

Hume scored way more than Rowe. Would have been closer with Starke as King and Barker would only have had three rides. Riss possibly. Think Batch gating very well in 13 and looking set for a 5-1 with Doyle before they stuffed up their team riding may have had an influence on his decision. King didn’t gate all night and looked pretty slow.
bigcatdiary
Entertaining match due to it being close but the racing was dire, Sheffield deserved their win and I would have loved to have seen Hawkins face after heat 15. He has undoubtedly got the best smacked arse face look when he loses.
Steve0
Well done Sheffield - nice to see 4 Swindon riders from the title winning 2019 team - 2 on each team. I think Stevie Worrall got better in commentary as the meeting progressed.

It was Nicol who came in for Starke.
THE DEAN MACHINE
Batchelor looks like he riding an engine with an unfamiliar set up for him, he was riding like a novice who’s bike was taking him for a ride and he had no confidence in it ,so given that you have to ask why he was used in heat 15

Only other option was Riss but he wasn’t looking great either after his opening ride win and was having machinery issues. Not really an obvious choice.
