Monarchs vs Lions May 13th

Recommended Posts

Another tough encounter for the Monarchs with Worrall, Morris and Howarth among the better riders in the league at Armadale not to mention the Thompson boys who both impressed last year

Rowe misses out with Kyle Bickley stepping in and the Monarchs at full strength looking to bounce back from that home defeat last time out

Really need the lower order to step up tonight if we want to win this one. The lions have a very strong too 3 round Armadale.

Pretty much crucial that they do just that.  Looking at latest green sheets and current form  - limiting Leicester to just 1 league point would be a success I reckon.  In addition, our top two will have their work cut out against their top three who are all capable of double figure returns.  Potentially the best match this season so far as the day's' decent weather appears to favour ideal track conditions.

From looking at that result you lack a 3rd heat leader..the difference tonight was pack up against worral, Morris and howarth..no match

Yea don’t disagree and when the team was out together it always looked like that was the risk. One small positive of late is that Thomson is scoring better. Not enough to be considered a heat leader but better. Sergeant is very hot and cold which isn’t what we need at all.

Lions rode really well. Some bad luck for Monarchs which made it harder to keep in touch,  but they rely very heavily on Masters and Pickering (nod to Kye Thomson too who looks a good prospect) and the rest didn't really look great.

I want to say as well that I paid to watch on Monarchs TV and I was impressed by how good the presentation was, I'll certainly do that again.

Falling well short just now. It’ll need to get better soon or changes will be made.

Just 9 points and 2 bonus from 4 Monarchs on their home track is not a statistic to remember fondly - even against a title challenging team like Leicester.
